Does what it needs to
Simple to fit and understand nice and smooth pull price is not too bad either.

Quality product
Excellent - replace earlier failed unit. Robust and easy access and smooth pull on/off movement.

Works well
I have never replaced one of these before but I managed to do it. The earth wires go in different places to the one it replaced so it was a bit tricky. The pull mechanism does not need so much of a strong pull as the last one so I hope this one lasts. Will update if it stops working...the alternatives on amazon did not have consistently good reviews so I took a risk to try one without any reviews.Update: it burnd out. Not too sure why.

Very Good Pull Switch
Over the years we have used several makes of 45a Pull Switches for a shower, but this CLICK Switch felt great. It was a sharp pull for on and a light pull to turn off. It was simple to install with the electrical connectors easy to get at. The only slight problem was the edge of the switch blocks the screw heads, but with the right screwdriver you can tighten them correctly.Overall I'm very pleased with this product as it does not appear to place to much pressure on the pull switch, which is the thing that breaks after 6 + months.

Easy to fit shower pull cord switch, but.....
Bought this to replace the previous (different) switch, which only lasted 5 months! This one is pretty easy to fit but, I found that the screwdriver slits in the L (live) & N (neutral) connection bolts were slightly impeded by the external 'rim' of the switch casing. Having said that, it wasn't a problem to fit.The switch action itself is much smoother than the previous, more expensive one replaced. As mentioned in other reviews, this switch has noticeable resistance when switching on and is easy to switch off. With both the the illuminated indicator and written on/off 'roller' it's easy to see if the switch is on or off!Easy to recommend this switch and represents good value.

Poor quality control.
The illuminated indicator worked fine but the mechanical switch status read wrong. when the switch was on it read "OFF" & when it was off it read as "ON", not great if the illuminated indicator fails in the future. Wasted a lot of time checking connections time & time again as well as questioning if it was not a genuine item.

Well made
Easy to fit may need an electrician to fit to comply with wiring regulations and buyers skill set

Not the best design for the unwary
Purchased this to replace a failed Ashley 45A shower isolator. On opening the box I was surprised to discover the heat shrink insulation covering the neon resistor left over 1.5cm of bare conductor running near to the central metal earth strap. This could cause an RCD to trip (or worse) if these two pieces came in contact. Rather than risk it, I de-soldered the resistor, rerouted it , cut the excess lead and resoldered. The next problem I discovered was the L and N screw terminals are below the lip of the faceplate, making both access and getting sufficient leverage to tighten the 45A cable screws tricky. Finally, I discovered the faceplate screw holes are 90 degrees out from the original Ashley patten box, not sure if that is down to the Click design or the age of the part it replaced. This means the switch is installed with the neon light to the side rather than the front. Not the end of the world, but I wasn't going to take it all apart again and re-install the box for such a small cosmetic issue. As to the 20 year warranty, the switch will probably outlast me. I've probably voided it now anyway by making it electrically safe.
