TamaTama CACLJ Cymbal Holder

Tama always makes nice stuff. I recently bought a club jam drum set used and it didn't have this so I bought one on Amazon. It's good and tight. I use a 20-in ride. I'm able to hold the ride straight up and down so I'm not too worried about it. Falling. My biggest gripe is that there is no lock on this. It would be so cool if it had a lock. And it's hard to find these. So I'm getting it four stars out of five for that missing lock.

Perfect for the Tama club jam mini 18 inch bass drum. Saves having to bring a full stand(with legs etc). Very lightweight but solid, no slipping. Thought I'd need a memory clamp but it holds tight. I replaced the wing nut topper with a Tama quick release, though the original topper works just fine.

Maximum height of this stand still isn't quite high enough off of an 18" kick drum, but aside from that it is rock solid. I have adjusted to it, but I would still prefer it just to be at least 3" longer would make a huge difference. It is still very good for what it is.

Unfortunately, Tama makes it difficult to purchase this item. I looked all over the web for it and had to order it from the U.K. and then wait for over a month to get it. This item should be available at every music store that sells Tama drums. Either that, or Tama should include the cymbal arm with every kit that features a kick-drum mounted cymbal arm holder.
