I had ordered matcha in the past and got a lot more for the amount I paid for clearspring but this tea is much smoother. I would order it again for sure.

Superb taste, vibrant colour, and froths up with minimal effort—like Japanese ceremonial grade matcha should be. As a hardened caffeine addict, I require far more of this to sustain me than I would imagine most other people do, but it does indeed help. It certainly seems to be the real deal. The packaging is stellar, too. Not entirely happy with the price hike, though—this particlar product used to be one the most economical, despite its superior quality and excellent packaging, which is a selling point that encouraged repeat, and multiple, purchases. It's still better value than many others of the same calibre, but I hope the price doesn't continue rising.

I came to Matcha as a die-hard coffee addict (my Gaggia Brera chugs away every morning spitting out my double shot Latte without fail) & Green Tea hater. I only had my first Matcha Latte in EAT recently. I was kind of nervous handing over a Prince's ransom for 30g of green powder. Luckily this will not prove to be yet another of my various tea contributions to landfill (driven potty by tea-swilling friends for whom I have to keep a stock of teabags - I only drink the stuff when I've OD'd on Austen / Dickens / Bronte or am home-sick for the ancestral land & want tooth-achingly sweet hot lemon tea) Anyway, I digress. So far, I've followed the instructions to the letter very & carefully slowly; scared to sneeze for fear of turning the kitchen counter & myself green. I've made Matcha Lattes with almond milk & a bit of Acacia honey (delicious)! And I've just started to drink it with hot water & honey (Matcha Americano)? Also delicious. The Matcha's subtle taste & gentler than coffee's cattle-prod hit of caffeine make a very welcome change. My Gaggia needs some TLC (a much needed service) as she's a Diva leaking water & throwing a hissy fit if the bean hopper is not kept appropriately stocked. Who knows when she's back from her spa break I may even sell her to a lucky coffee fiend, having kicked the habit.
