Straight forward. Fast. Effective. But it!
I did not think anything would revive these 20 year old sun baked lights. I was wrong!!! Brilliant product! The little towels are very saturated and I used one for the whole process (which gave me an extra use out of 1 box for the future). It worked perfectly fine and the clear effect is holding up great!

This product save me a lot of money
Got this on special for $8.44 from my favorite online shopping store! The headlights was very bad and was barely passing safety check here. I looked a shops who professionally do this and was quoted $150 and up for this job. Stumbled across this product by 3M and since that's a trusted brand and placed an order. The kit came with everything you need with the exception of a spray bottle for water. Very detailed instructions that made the process so easy. Please take the time out to use painters tape to mask the area around the headlights so you dont accidentally scratch the paint. When using the sanding pads go in one direction and avoid making circles. I went from left to right to avoid messing up the plastic cover. The cleaning power of the pads were very good and made use very easy. After allowing to dry for an hour or so the lens was completely dry and no sticky residue was left. Its been about two weeks and it looks like I just did it. Checkout the images and see for yourself. Don't think about just click BUY NOW! Thanks Amazon and 3M The whole

Handy headlight restoration kit
Very pleased with how simple it was to use this set. The instructions were clear, which made the whole process smooth. Just a heads-up: using painter's tape around the headlights is a good idea to avoid scratches on the car paint. When sanding, I moved side to side in straight lines rather than circular motions, which helped prevent any damage to the plastic cover. The pads did a good job cleaning and made the task straightforward. After about an hour to dry, the lens looked clear and there was no sticky residue left behind.

Def. Worth Trying!
So far, it worked like a charm. I have a 2011 vehicle and one headlight lens was cloudy. I tried this product, not expecting much (sadly), but it worked. Time involved was about 30 minutes, start to finish. I'm told that this type of lens sanding only lasts for about 6 months, but for now, I'm very pleased. I'd estimate it took about 90% of cloudiness away. For the price and time commitment, it's well worth trying. The pic is after sanded and the two coats of "sealant" were applied. I don't have a before pic, but I'd say the initial level of cloudiness was medium. The lens had not yellowed, only clouded over about 70% of the lens.

Let this restoration kit light up your life
I have a car that is 24 years old and is my daily driver. Understandably, the headlight lenses have deteriorated to the point where I was using my brights exclusively at night yet never being flashed to turn them down. I got quotes between 60-80 dollars per headlight for restoration which I just wasn't willing to pay so I decided on this kit to try restoring them myself. I read reviews before I ever make a decision on a product and noticed many reviewers of other products stated that this product works better so I went ahead and purchased it. Man, am I glad I did!!! The kit arrived late this afternoon, I opened it, READ AND FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS and within 1 1/2 hours had turned a travesty into a triumph. I started by taping around both lights with 1 inch blue painters tape to protect the paint around the lights. The kit comes with everything necessary to remove most moderate deterioration but be sure to purchase one that corresponds with your actual situation. I believe my lenses were far beyond "moderate" but with some heavy elbow grease, the correct use of both supplied sanding disks and my hose set on "mist" I was able to sand off years of damage leaving behind a smooth, albeit opaque surface. After making sure everything was totally dry using both towels and my leaf blower, I was ready for the Magic!!! I opened the first clearcoat package (while wearing the provided glove) and lightly but steadily applied the liquid with the supplied towelette and the required 50% overlapping passes. The opaque lenses instantly turned clear upon contact with the clearcoat. After waiting around 25 minutes to be sure the lenses were completely dry I opened the second package of clearcoat and applied it in the same manner as the first. I had no misses or problems with my first coat but for those who do...NOW is the time to make corrections, NOT during the first coat process. Leave things to dry for around an hour and you are done. The end result? AWESOME, INCREDIBLE, UNBELIEVABLE...shall I go on??? Not necessary, but I can say I am thrilled with the outcome. My wife said the lights look new and I agree, there is a night and day difference between before and after. Only time will tell how long the restoration lasts but for now I am very very happy with the results I got from this 3M product. I highly recommend it to anybody who can read, understand and follow the instructions. 5 stars all the way on this one!!!

So far, all clear
Easy to use kit with good results. I read many reviews for this and other brands/products and chose this on a "coin flip" vs. the Cerakote. One of the comments that came up in other reviews was that the clearness deteriorated rapidly. I just completed this less than a week ago and so far all is clear and bright! I'll report back if it degrades, but I'm happy with the results so far.

Sufficient, not mind-blowing
At under $10, I wouldn't say this is a poor value, but it isn't the be-all end-all solution that many reviews would indicate. The level of UV damage and yellowing that can be corrected with the various available kits is a bit subjective, but I would consider the lenses I had as moderate yellowing. I wasn't getting the result I had hoped for on the first lens, so resorted to some 1500, 2000, and 3000 wet/dry sandpaper for the other - and as one would expect with an extra intermediate grit, it was better... but considering that this is only a temporary solution that you'll need to repeat every year or so, I'd just buy the sandpaper (plenty of sheets for other uses and subsequent lens treatments). The pads in this kit deteriorated a bit quicker than I would have expected, so only good for one time. Again, perfectly sufficient for a one-time, short-term fix, under $10... but had admittedly hoped for some 3M magic on the grit or compound. Three stars is not bad. It's just "meh." Should have just started with the sandpaper.

A great investment
My car is 23 years old, and I’m pretty sure it’s never had its headlights redone so I wasn’t expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised by this kit. For such a low price it sure did a great job, looks almost brand new! Didn’t take me more than 20 minutes total either.
