Great read. Expecially for someone who knows very little. I've found it very informative. I absolutely love the ritual suggestion too really easy read and easy to follow.

I've had this book for about 3 years and it's pretty much my go-to resource for understanding Orishas & Voodoo Queens. The difference between the two as well as how other aspects of these deities are personified in different traditions (such as Maman Brigitte vs Brigid) is broken down really well. I also enjoy the small stories they include, which involve both traditional tales, and their own experiences with them.In addition to correspondences, they share recipes, rituals, and even media that connect with them that you can engage with on their feast days, or really any time.Their passion, care, and knowledge of this topic not only reflect a deeply personal reverence, but also bring these Divine Beings to life in a profound way. I am truly so thankful for this book!

WOW !! This book is a great book (TO ME). I have been on a spiritual journey for the past 3 years and it hasn't been an easy ride. Never had I ever heard of The Orishas until my grandmother died 2 months ago (WHICH HAS TURNED MY WHOLE WORLD AROUND DRASTICALLY, I believe that she sent them). I am just starting this new journey with The Orishas. I don't know which one has my head, I would love to know. I think I will just continue what I have been doing reading and getting more information on them. I do know this one thing, THEY ARE TRULY REAL !! They are DEFINITELY PROTECTORS!!! If you are truly on a spiritual journey grammatical errors won't even phase you.I have heard so many stories off the internet about The Orishas and they have all been different. The internet is the WORST place to find information. This book truly goes into details, I have gotten chills over and over again reading this book. I am definitely glad that I purchased it. I have my own skin care business and some of these oils will definitely work for me. Needless to say if you are questioning the stories this is the book. I didn't know that different countries and different religions or cultures have their own deities as well. I am greatly satisfied with this book.

This was a really good book that went into great depth. I would definitely recommend this book.
