We love it still after two years.
I've been using this for over two years now. Never had an issue. I bought it to use to bathe my newborn in the baby tub in the bathtub. It worked perfectly. The cord is so long that the nossle can touch the bottom back of a standard tub. The "off" switch turns the stream into a slight trickle, which for our use was great for a light rinse in the newborn stage as well as later being able to turn it lower when I need to put the nossle down - it doesn't go flying and spraying everywhere. We are using it still now with our new infant. My husband also loves it in his showers which he then turns into a bath and lies down in the tub with the nossle. A great way to stay warm without being splashed in the face. It does leak a little at the top and down the hose. It is too minimal for me to care though. With all the use it has got, the handle has not broke as I have seen in other reviews. My toddler loves having a handle. We even brought this with us this summer when we moved across country. We are glad we bought this and highly recommend this one if you are looking for this type of shower nossle.

Great shower head!
We bought this shower head for my mother since she has been diagnosed with cancer and recently broke her collar bone due to the cancer's spread... The good: I picked out this shower head because it matched the finish in our bathroom (chrome) and had a guard that would help keep the shower head from slipping from our grasp even when soapy. We've enjoyed having it and my mother can now shower without trouble. Installation was easy and it even came with a small roll of plumber's tape. 6 ft of tubing is just enough and the shower head has a great flow of water. Pause feature also works great! The bad: Even though it says "chrome" it is actually chrome paint on plastic, so don't expect anything heavy. The bottom bracket (attached, where the head rests) leaks water when you're showering but it isn't terrible. Shower head has 3 settings but the "pulsating" setting just takes away from the spray just to awkwardly pour water on your head -- it's a little disappointing but still gets the job done. Also, putting the shower head back onto the storage bracket is a little awkward and isn't easy when you have a broken collar bone. Overall: We like this, it gets the job done, and it makes my mother's life a little easier. If you're looking into buying the product for a family member who needs it due to health problems, it's great. Hopefully the shower head will come off as easily as it went on so we can bring it with us when we move! Heads up: remember to lay out the hose so it straightens out, the coiling doesn't really wear out AND don't waste the money to buy the suggested shower chair they also sell.

Really Perfect
I was looking for a handheld showerhead that would allow my husband to sit and shower while he was sitting down in the shower. He has spinal stenosis that won't allow his to stand very long. This product works perfectly. The extra long hose allows for just that. I also love that I can direct the water anywhere on the body without getting everything else wet. The different spray choices are great, too. We use the gentle spray that is just perfect on sensitive skin but still cleanses the body well. The pause button is a good addition because it also reduces the amount of water used during the shower. The water doesn't shut off completely so don't expect that but the flow is practically nil. I would recommend this product to anyone that has the need to sit in the shower or tub. The only thing I would change if I could is that the chrome is not metal but plastic. I am careful not to jam the showerhead into the neck that holds it because it could break. This is a small price to pay, literally, for such a well designed product.

Moen is onto something but fell short
Resident Mother in Law is going in for hip surgery so we're trying to fix up the bathroom for her times of least mobility. One of the things that would make life easier is if there was a hand-held shower unit that was longer than the current Water Pik 5' shower head so she could use the transfer bench in the bathtub -which only fit at the backside of the tub. Moen offered a 7' hose on their unit and they boasted of a water pause switch and had an easier to use handle. This sounded so good I bought 2, one for MIL and one for my husband and I. I also bought a Mommy's Helper Safer Grip Portable Shower Arm to stage the shower head away from the wall where it normally goes. Where things went wrong was installation. I installed the Moen DN8001CH Home Care Pause Control Hand Held Shower in my shower and a relative installed the other one in the bathroom MIL uses. No matter what we did both of us could NOT get the bracket to stop leaking. We used the supplied Teflon tape, our Teflon tape, different torques in tightening, everything. After 10 tries each, we re-installed the Water Pik bracket and the leaking stopped in both cases. The other thing we noticed is that the shower head doesn't actually pause all the way. In both cases it does take the water flow way down but not off completely. That's good enough for our purposes. The last negative is for me only, I have very thick hair that's 36 inches long. I need water pressure to soak the hair enough to get it all wet. There are only 2 settings on this shower head: Pulse and Spray and neither are strong enough like one of the Water Pik settings, but I manage. What was good: 7' hose is perfect in both cases. With the portable shower arm, disabled people are able to sit and have the ability to soap up and not have to put the head in its original bracket between each operation, the hose reaches to the seats in both shower and bath. The extra handle allows arthritic hands to be able to put the head over the bracket instead of trying to seat it properly, and also to not drop the head if hands get too soapy or shake too much. The other good thing is that the switch to change from pulse to spray is a slide so arthritic hands don't have to fight with a round selector -grasping that way hurts a lot. I look forward to Moen improving this unit so that there are more spray options and that they fix their silver-colored plastic bracket that doesn't have a good seal when mated with a shower pipe.

Perfect for our NEEDS
I looked and looked for a hand-held shower head with a long hose. All I could find were models with 5-foot hoses. I had one with a 5-foot hose, and it wasn't long enough. I finally found this model with a 7-foot hose on Amazon, and I ordered it instantly. The faucets in our house are all Moen faucets, and I love them. Our kitchen sink has a Moen pull-out faucet, and it is the best kitchen faucet I have ever owned. Our bathroom sinks and bathtubs all have Moen fixtures, and it is a great brand. I had reservations about the plastic hose that came with this model, but after using it, I have nothing bad to say. It works perfectly and I am 100% happy with it. I was a little worried when I first installed it because the "cradle" that screws onto the pipe leaked quite a bit. I followed the directions and used the teflon tape on the threads. I unscrewed the cradle and used more teflon tape, and it still leaked. So I unscrewed it again, took off all of the teflon tape, and tried it again without any teflon tape. It didn't leak this time, and it made me happy, because I had no other ideas how to make it stop leaking. All in all, this is a great shower head and well worth the price. And the 7-foot hose is wonderful.

entire bathroom will get a shower!
thought I was doing well by purchasing a name brand hoping for a quality product. This shower head leaked like a sieve from everywhere. The entire thing is plastic and while easy to install, every connection leaked. We tried to re-seat and tighten any connections we could but the ball joint that allows it to swivel still leaks terribly. The shower head does not hang straight but continually faces the wall!. Hand hold is hard plastic, not rubbery as one might expect. The best part of this unit is the long, soft hose. Shutoff is easy to use as well and why I chose this one. Shame it didn't work but can't use it with water spraying all over the bathroom from every connection point. Spray is not all that impressive either, from any setting. This morning there was some sort of brown gunk coming out of the swivel joint area. going back.
