This is a fun and capable RC car, its top speed is about as much as you can comfortably handle. My brother has a more expensive and faster model but to be honest I think I have more fun with this - plus his is broken already. It's not ideal on rough ground but it'll buzz around a car park like nobodies business, and on a smooth floor it drifts amazingly well (so much fun!).There are some hidden costs and doubts though that would make me decline to recommend this for a youngster... The parts are plastic, and they will break; fixing, upgrading and replacing parts is actually a huge part of the RC hobby - a full set of replacement metal components costs over £40, a set of batteries will cost upto £30 - and these aren't really optional upgrades. For a teenager who's into mechanics and able to maintain it, it would make a great xmas gift. For younger folks, get a simpler and cheaper RC car, these are great but shouldn't be anyones first RC IMHO.

Great first RC car. Really fast, too fast for the house and for kids under 14. Going to look at some upgrades. Higher Mah battery and some upgraded parts metal parts on my wishlist. Seems fairly durable, had some minor crashes and can't see any damage. Motor does get quite hot but guess that's what the heat sink is for.

Durability is the worst I've seen. After looking at why the wheel had fell off, to see very cheap plastic holding the arch. This part is no where to be found on back wheel and since first shot was on carpet.. I'm wondering if it was possible that it was sent broken?? It is a very fast toy and easy to use but as full speed can't be used before it falls apart this is the best I can say for the car and left disappointed.

Gift for 10 year old for Christmas. V fast so need space to use it. Little metal clip that holds plastic outer cover came off after the second go but an elastic band has been working to hold it together. Lots of fun had so far with it but don't know how long it will last, time will tell

First rc car in about 12 years its faster then what I remember the nitro cars acceleratedbit quick for indoors only tried indoors to make sure it works before wrapping up for xmas for the price its amazing

Excellent little car, brought as just getting back into rc again. Can’t wait for all my metal upgrades and new metal gearbox components to arrive now overall, quite fast, easy to use and a cool toy!!

The car is fast, but u soon shear the teeth off ur plastic gears. Replacement metal parts look good fit well but the screws that come with the upgrades don't seem to fit, I got bolts too small for nuts I've brought 5 differentials and none of screws that came with them fit nothing. 😕I spent a lot of money to upgrade 2 cars and have no cars working because nothing fits

I brought this my grandson it’s awesome just one tiny problem battery doesn’t last long enough
