Desk Lamp, Table Lamp, Desk Light with 3 point Adjustable Arm, Bedside Lamps, Black Chrome

After reading carefully a few reviews and doing some market research, I finally decided to buy it too. I’ve owned several ones over the past years and I’m a fan of halogen desk lamps as, compared to integrated LED desk lamps, they have solid, compact designs, they produce a decent level of brightness and they can be serviceable in a few key parts of their structure on the long run. I have to say that the size of this desk lamp is surprisingly large, has a very sturdy structure and is handsome looking. The pictures really don’t show well the beauty of this lamp.Only downside on these lamps is the bulb itself; as a classic halogen bulb, it does produce A LOT of heat. This is normal for this type of bulbs to operate in very high temperatures. For anyone who wants to know the original type of bulb it uses, it's a G8 50W halogen bulb. Of course it's very easy to replace it with an equivalent LED bulb, which is much cooler, gives almost the same light spectrum and saves money. I personally bought this bulb which is an excellent replacement (I’ve attached pics with this review):https://www.amazon.ca/Feit-Electric-BP50G8-6-830-LED/dp/B081BS8TLH/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=feit+led+g8&qid=1617658161&sr=8-6but you can find this bulb outside in stores like HomeDepot for a much lower price. One problem that this LED (and most LED bulbs), despite dimmable, is not very compatible with the dimmer switch of this lamp (switch is a two setting low/high one) and on the low setting it flickers a lot. Maybe other customers will find it irritating, for me, it’s not that much of a dealbreaker, as I like plenty of light on my desk and I always keep it on highest setting. Last, I would like to say that I'm very happy with my purchase and I would recommend this lamp to anyone wants to buy it. 5 stars

The product is excellent, the two level lighting, perfect for me, just what I have been looking for, sturdy and all metal, however, the assembly instructions are confusing, it's a matter of fact, there is no assembly. The lamp shade and arms are reversed for shipping. The instructions tell you to remove the pieces from the box, there are no pieces. I was ready to contact the seller for better instructions and as I was carefully swiveling the arms of the lamp around and finally turned the shade, it all fell into place. looks great, works great. My suggestion is for the seller to update the instructions. The lamp itself deserves a 5 Rating in my book.

it is indeed a beautiful product, I was just confused when I opened it the way it is packed, the whole thing is already packed installed preinstalled, there was one piece of paper in the box attached to the fore arm, i just could not figure out how to get the head of the lamp into the front it was the other way around, in the picture where the lamp head is, was the electrical wire, so i started to unscrew this and that, Don't do that please, when you get the lamp, turn the head upside up and then extend it is kind of hard to explain keyword is turn the head upside up. It is a very good lamp not too big and gives you ample light there are two settings , I used the low setting today while working it was good enough. I might get a dimmer and then attach the lamp too it, build quality is beautiful.

This lamp arrived promptly in sturdy packaging and looks just as pictured. I am quite satisfied with this purchase.However, the Amazon descriptions need improvement. (A) The lamp extends to a height of 24 inches from the bottom base to top of the shade. This is what I hoped for, but the text for the lamp only says "15 inches tall." (B) The lamp came with a G8, 50 watt/120volt halogen bulb installed. The good news is this is a readily available bulb. However, the Amazon "Frequently brought together" section lists two double ended halogen bulbs which cannot be used with this lamp.

This lamp is a very unfortunate and classic example of cheap Chinese made junk. The lamp itself is very attractive and functional, which makes this especially sad and unnecessary. When I first unpacked it, I was very happy with how it looked and operated. But I quickly found out that the quality of this lamp is extremely poor.The single upper tube is pressed into the middle swivel joint only about 1/8 of an inch into the mounting hole. It is then secured by a crystallized (cold) solder joint, nothing else. The upper half separated at this joint after just one day of use.In addition, as noted by other reviewers, the lower and middle swivel joints are so loose they cannot be tightened to the point where the lamp stays in place where it is positioned. Also, as noted by other reviewers, the lamp flickers when operating the switch. This is indicative of a low quality switch that is on the verge of failure at any time.Considering the high price of this lamp, I think I should have a reasonable expectation of quality. No dice here. I am obviously sending it back for a refund. I was just lucky it broke immediately so I could return it. After 30 days, you're stuck with it. I can't recommend this lamp, period.Some reviewers complain that these lamps run hot, and they do. There is no such thing as a cool halogen bulb, so it is not the lamps fault. Nothing beats halogen if you want a bright lamp in a small and light weight package. If you want cool, then buy LED or fluorescent. But the light from these is much dimmer.

I initially tried to purchase a a Light Source halogen M4400 light but determined they stopped making them in halogen in 2017. Plus this light is about a third of the price of the M4400. So here we are. I purchased this because of the price point. It is well constructed and has a heave base, It is bright enough being as the old one was a 50 watt bulb also. It has a off/low/ high switch that is a twist (?) type switch. I'd buy another if this one lasts a decent amount of time.
