Great ride-cam, excellent value for the money!
The media could not be loaded. Things I have used this camera for:1. Ride cam for long bike rides2. Overhead cam for online teaching (streaming)3. Wide-angle streaming for online art modelingSo far I have been exceptionally pleased with the Brave 6 Plus camera! As a ride-cam for long bike rides the battery life is excellent and the image stabilization definitely make the video more watchable! I did have to jury-rig a mount for the bike, as the included handlebar mount was too small in diameter to fit on my bike, and I noticed that as the ride wore on, the camera mount kept angling itself toward the ground. The camera also came in very handy while I was teaching an only prop-making demo and needed an overhead camera to show what my hands were doing. The streaming video quality of this camera is on par with the action quality, though it would help if the included USB cable was longer. The Brave 6 Plus comes with two batteries, which means you can always have one on hand, and you can either charge them with the charging station, or by plugging in the camera to a power source (also handy if you've used one of the included zip-ties to anchor the camera in the open-fronted mount and you don't want to cut the tie!). There are also a wide variety of mounts included in this package, though I'll be honest--I'm not sure how some of them are supposed to work!Overall, I am super-pleased with this purchase. While the accessories might leave something to be desired, the camera itself is an *excellent* value, and that's what I was spending my money on! If you're looking for a solid alternative to a more expensive action camera, I highly recommend it!

Excellent videos with very good image stabilization
If you’re looking for an action camera, do yourself a favor and take a look at the Akaso Brave 6 Plus.Sure, it’s not a GoPro Hero 8 that gives you super smooth image stabilization (which to me is really important for an action camera) but consider the following:(1) It’s only about 1/3 the price of the Hero 8.(2) It comes with 2 batteries and a dual battery charger.(3) It comes with a waterproof case and so many useful mounts that depending on what you’re using the camera for, you might not need to buy additional accessories.Although the image stabilization on this camera is not as smooth as the Hero 8 (at least from the Hero 8 videos I’ve seen on YouTube), it is still very good and definitely much better than a lot of other cameras in this price range. Videos taken while out on my walks and bike rides have produced very stable images with extremely clear pictures, especially at 4K 30fps.In addition, their customer support is excellent and have provided quick responses to any questions I’ve had. Some reviewers have commented that they dislike the fact that email responses are sent late in the evening but I definitely prefer a response that same night than a lot of other support teams that take days or even weeks to respond.Based on my personal experience, I would highly recommend the Akaso Brave 6 Plus as it is an excellent action camera that is reasonably priced. As a bonus, the company also provides great customer support!

Akaso Brave 6 Plus
I purchased this camera for my 9-year-old son for Christmas so he could make decent quality videos of himself doing scooter tricks. I was excited to purchase the new upcoming Brave 7 (not Brave 7 LE), which was originally supposed to be released before Christmas 2020, but it never came out. While it was a little disappointing since it seems the Brave 7 will incorporate the best features of all Akaso cameras into an only-slightly-more expensive package, in the end, I went with the Brave 6 Plus, which was offered at a discount at the time. Even though the Brave 7 LE has dual-screens, a more durable water proof housing, and several other things missing from the Brave 6 Plus, I went with this camera because many online reviews on YouTube suggested that its Image Stabilization was superior to the Brave 7 LE, and for scootering it was going to be used on a helmet or chest mount much of the time.My son has enjoyed the camera so far and I think the price is fair for what it is. If you're like me and are purchasing an action camera for your kid and don't want to spend the money for a GoPro, this is a good buy, as it offers many of the same features and benefits. It is not without some design missteps, however: flimsy battery door, no threading on bottom of camera to mount it (a separate plastic mount with threading is required), not particularly durable plastic housing, and other frustrating little gripes. But, it mostly makes up for these things with what it does offer, along with the price. It comes with an extra battery and many accessories as well (although no instructions for how to use them). One of the major pros is that the Akaso app integration works over WiFi pretty well and it essentially allows my son to use the camera with his iPad and make and edit little videos without me having to take out the MicroSD or import the videos into the computer. (Note: MicroSD has to be purchased separately). The app integration, along with the remote and voice commands features are pretty cool at this price point.Below is my son's review of the camera (his words):This camera has a very wide view and the resolution is amazing. Image stabilization is very smooth and the touchscreen responds very quickly. I really like the slow-motion feature because it is not choppy. It's so pleasant to watch, so smooth. There is this annoying thing whenever I put the waterproof case on the camera; the waterproof case clicks on the power button and it turns off. Even though I don’t need to use the waterproof case for what I do, I just think the camera is safer that way. So, I think the camera itself should be more durable. Otherwise, this camera is a great starter cam.The comment he made about the waterproof case is true. At least on our camera, the force of snapping the waterproof case closed causes the power button to be pushed down just enough that it turns the camera off. While you can turn the camera back on once it is in the water proof case, you cannot use the touch screen once it is in there, so it's a bit of a problem. All in all, we have been pretty satisfied with this camera (it's certainly more than enough camera for my son), but I do wish we would have been able to purchase the Brave 7 when I was in the market for a budget-friendly action camera.
