I recently used the ANSIO Weed Membrane, and here’s my detailed review of its performance and features:Pros:Effective Weed Control: The membrane is highly effective at preventing weed growth. Wanted to gravel the garden soil for easy maintenance and weed control. Bought this as a good price and felt the 2m width would make it easy to use. It is like a woven plastic in appearance which will allow water to pass through and is supposed to stop the light and therefore plant growth. Does let the water through and should block the light. Has lines in the weave to help when cutting for straight lines. I used it cut into manageable pieces so I could fit it in awkward places and around plants/bushes I was keeping. Only obvious issue is as other reviews said that it frays. No great surprise the plastic threads will fray when cut but all I did was fold the frayed edges under and job done. Easy to cut, easy to lay, lightweight and functional. This is always to use under stone or bark chips surely no one is going to leave it uncovered? I expected it to fray and it’s easilly overcome so overall it’s been ideal for what I want and would recommend it.

Good quality , especially having the prongs to keep the membrane in place into the ground . Would definitely recommend. Very pleased.

I have bought this type of membrane in the past for my own garden and needed some for work i am doing at my folks putting in a rough gravel drive for them. This was quite new to Amazon when i purchased it but still had good reviews and came in the area size i needed so i picked some up.* The membrane comes folded, i imagine this is easier to transport and pick and pack but its more of a pain than a roll that you might get at a DIY Store as you spend a little while unfolding it then folding it back if you are going to cut it, that said you could always roll it up yourself when done!* The material is very tough, you can see from the pictures it is not the cheap membrane that you can tear with your hands it is heavy duty. One of the pluses about heavyweight membrane like this is not having to lay rocks on it when putting it down to save it from blowing away!* I used a Stanley knife to cut this, scissors would be just as good, it doesnt fray very much at all at the cuts which is good because again with cheap membrane you tend to end up with lots of frayed parts you end up cutting again.* There was a little damage on membrane from the pack i received, nothing too big and it most likely wont matter once there is 3 or 4 tonnes of hardcore and gravel on top of it.* I measured the total pack and it did measure at 10m by 2m with a little over on the length so that's another positive.Overall i would highly recommend this, its heavy duty, i am sure it will last whilst giving the protection from weeds and roots required. I am not going to mark it down based on the small imperfections in the pack i got, sometimes faults in frabric occur in any manufacturing and its really not an issue.Five Stars.
