Not convinced
The unit looks good until you come to use it. The rubber inserts that fit into the plastic sleeve is poor. The insert is not a good fit and easily falls out if you are not careful. Not a wonderful product.

It’s simple and does the job, but if I was buying another…I would pay the extra and get a better one with a strobe on it. Very basic.

Mine like others does not work!
I bought this for pipe welding, when I got it the shaft was tight ie hard to turn, but after a few rotations with my fingers it whent very slack, it reads between .72 to 1.65 at a constant speed, it could have been so good, but infact useless, plus the other drivers fall of the adapter, all in all, a piss pore show, this is an honest review and you may get a better one? It's up to you in the end, but I took a chance and got stung!!!

Questionable speeds.
This product is easy to use, the accuracy is questionable its around 5 to 10% lower in speed on my lathe shaft in comparison to my hall effect rev counter. There may be a combination in errors there however I'd vouch more for better accuracy on the hall effect counter. The ID rubber mounts are slightly too loose for my liking and have the ability to slip and spring out when pressed against a shaft, annoying when dropped and run under a workbench. On the whole though good for the money and fine if you aren't looking for great accuracy. Would pay more and get a decent device if accuracy is important. I'll get the store out and perhaps add to this later to give a full account of the inaccuracies.

Invaluable for all sorts of set ups.
Ideal for my model boats and aircraft. Takes the guess work out of propeller set up etc. Should have bought one ages ago. Well pleased.
