GNC Women's Hair, Skin & Nails Formula, 120 Caplets, Supports Beauty from Within

I've been using this product for several months now and I could tell a difference within the first month, but I wanted to wait to see if I could "really" tell a difference before writing a review. Well, yes I can. I specifically purchased this product to help my hair grow, mainly around the hairline. I'm a female, but I wear a baseball hat most of the time, and I noticed that my hair was thinning around the front hairline and a little on top, and I wondered if it was the hat or a hormonal change. I tried everything, from cleaning my scalp with apple cider vinegar, washing my hair with straight harsh soap with no oils etc.....you name it and nothing helped :( Well, I decided to use this product, as directed (2 tablets per day), and now I can say for a fact that it helped me. I researched the internet for weeks and weeks trying to find help, and I read many articles about hair loss and what helps your hair grow. I noticed two common amino acids that they kept mentioning, L-Methionine and L-Cysteine. For some reason I thought that by taking "biotin" which I was taking 10,000 mcg daily would help my hair grow, but after several months using such a large dose of that it still never helped. I think this product probably has the right balance of the most important amino acids working with the biotin and other ingredients that it really helps it to do the job. The thinning areas and semi-bald areas I had have all new hair now and I haven't stopped wearing my baseball hat, and my hair finally looks normal :) Sooner or later, I plan to do some more research to find a similar product to this one that contains the same active ingredients at a lower price and start using it. But, for right now I use this product everyday, and before I forget, it really really helps in rapid nail growth too! I have to clip my nails every other day practically. This might not work for everybody, as is reflected in some of the reviews, but honestly it has worked wonders for me, and I highly recommend it.

I started using this product after my favorite hair vitamins (Nioxin) were discontinued. I've used hair vitamins enough to know pretty quickly if one is working for me. However, I wanted to use them awhile before writing a review, so that I could give a fair analysis. I've been using the product just under 4 months and am almost to the end of my second bottle.Like with Nioxin, the first change I noticed were in my nails. Within one to two weeks of starting the GNC, my nails were thicker and felt stronger (even though I've never had an issue with growing my nails out). Next, I noticed my skin felt softer and smoother (not as big an improvement as with Nioxin, but still really good). Finally, I noticed that the GNC vitamins were indeed making my hair grow faster.I didn't do any formal measurements, but I've been trimming my hair a lot and it's been growing fast enough that I've been like, "didn't I just cut two inches off?" It feels like my hair is growing perhaps twice as fast as usual (maybe 1.5 inches a month or even a bit more).The only thing I'm disappointed about is that fact that the GNC vitamins don't decrease my shedding at all (like using the Nioxin did). My hair has been shedding more than normal and I thought that the GNC could help, but it didn't. I almost wanted to give the product 4 stars because of that, but the product doesn't advertise itself as helping with that issue (like the Nioxin did). So it didn't feel fair to knock off a star for something the product never promised to do.I would recommend the GNC vitamins to others. Since, it doesn't help with shedding, I've been trying other things to get at that issue (iron supplementation and taking saw palmetto, which was an ingredient in the Nioxin that missing in the GNC). I think it's helping some, but it's too soon to give a final analysis.

I sought out this product because my hair thinned when I went on a vegan diet over 1.5 years ago. Ever since my hair has never been the same. I tried everything from natural hair and skin products to cutting things out of my diet to thickening conditioners for thinning hair. I took the CHEWABLE version of the GNC hair skin and nails formula as well. This helped to stop my hair from falling out but it never created much new growth that stayed. My hair started thinning slightly recently due to stress so I decided I'd give this version a shot.I'd never taken big 'vitamin pills' before, which was why I originally chose the chewable version. However, I've found that taking this with juice (it TASTES ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! But it's so worth it) before or after a meal works best for me. I've been taking it twice a day every day for the past two months (that's it!) and I have seen an AMAZING difference in my hair. I have a lot of 'baby hair' growing in all over my head and I have received comments that my hair is looking thicker already. I can no longer see through my hair to my scalp as easily as before. I also don't notice my hair falling out at all anymore even when I brush it. Before I took this I would always be concerned with the number of fallen hairs I found all over my bathroom, shower, bed, etc.Anyways long story short this product is GREAT FOR THINNING HAIR! I would recommend it 110% to anyone with hair that has thinned especially due to diet.I've also noticed a big improvement in my skin (looks like it's 'glowing') and hardly any acne or dry skin patches despite the cold weather. I feel much more comfortable if I don't wear makeup one day than I ever have. I have not changed anything about my skin routine since taking these.BUY THIS SERIOUSLY.
