He - Great addition to your first aid kit.Used as recently in the last few weeks. Used both monthly and bi monthly sporadically.Simple to use, provides both temperature in number form and colour coded dependent on outcome.Hope you gain some value out of my honest lived experience of this product, for you to make an informed decision.

It gave varying readings, so accuracy may be a challenge. Otherwise,it was easy to instal and use

Consistent readings and only takes a second to take a reading. Much easier than the in ear one we have. Our 18 mth old loves this and having her reading taken, and hates the ear one which is difficult to get a consistent reading and takes about 5 seconds to complete in the ear of an upset, wriggly baby. It also does room and surface temp (steak) as well as body temp. Excellent value

Never thought something this cheap could actually be this good. Just make sure to remove the batteries every now and then and it will last for years…I’m not even kidding

Recommended. Accurate (see below), easy to use, fast and easy to read. Looks a bit like a prop from Star Trek, but hey, we're in the future now.A non-contact thermometer will never give as high a reading as a contact thermometer, because your skin is cooler than your core; you need to add around half a degree. Or, better, "calibrate" it: use it when you're well to establish the temperature reading that means you're well, then later on if the reading is significantly higher than that, you have a fever.Accuracy is hard to judge, but it's reading 36.9 (forehead) for me, which equates to 37.4 (contact/core), which is about right. Repeatability is probably more important. Under similar conditions 10 readings only vary by 0.1 degrees, which is excellent.

This doesn’t come with batteries even though even though it says batteries last long.

Seems great at first, pops up with the colours and temperature,sometimes if you do 2 tests on the same person the temp changes can be a full C + out. 38.7 down to 37.3. Which changes colour too.Then 2 tests in a row on different people it stays the same. Hard to trust.Display screen is clear, and easy to read, but Accuracy unknown.
