Perfect modification
Shop wanted to charge me 100 bucks to replace my derailed that broke off. Installed this one a with a little adjustment bam works awesome. Took me all of 10 minutes

Worked for a #261, but fastners are not correct dimension for an M4-0.7
I needed to replace a #261 hanger (which looks just like this. Oddly I don't think a 288 looks like this) and the hanger itself worked great. The fastners, though, did not. Specifically the head angle is wrong for an proper M4 so it sits too shallow in the frame.

Looks good but may not fit your bike-- it does NOT fit mine
This rear derailleur hanger looks about right for my bike (2009 Novara 24-speed with 26" wheels) but it does not fit. Basically, the length is slightly short (about 54mm rather than 57mm) and importantly, the hanger has too much curve so my derailleur is about 2cm further forward when installed, placing it too high and close to the spokes to get more than maybe 2 gears rather than 24. Also, the 4mm screws are smaller than the 5mm screws that were OEM, although I was able to attach the hanger with the 4mm screws.I wish the seller would show actual dimensions to allow more analysis before purchase.
