Works as advertised, and the owner was a big help in solving an issue.
Bought three of these to keep my father from over-watering. He has Alzheimer's and it was killing the plants and our water bill. The first two I installed easily (save for corrosion on the nut from decades of weathering) and worked great with no issues. The third however didn't work. I ran into an issue where it seemed like with or without the key it was able to turn the stem. After sending an email to Flow Security Systems I received a call on the next business day to help troubleshoot it. Mark was able to guide me to an issue with the nut on the stem - it had iron in it. To test this all you have to do is touch the back of the key to the nut. If it sticks you know you have an issue. I found a brass nut and replaced it on the stem, reinstalling the Guard'n'Lock. Worked great.

Didn't work
I purchased this lock about 4 years ago when neighborhood landscapers used our home's spigot to water the community's lawns. The situation improved and I never installed the lock. Recently we discovered the new landscapers are doing the same thing so I dug out the lock and put it on. The process was quick and easy! However, once the lock was installed, it spun on the stem with or without the key. I couldn't get any water out and I couldn't get the lock off! Thankfully with the combination of prayer and wedging my wrench onto the slightly exposed outer rim of the adapter, I was able to get the lock off, slicing my fingers on the threads a bit in the process. I reviewed all the instructions and several online videos and I believe I followed the installation steps correctly. I'm afraid to try again since I don't believe it will come off a second time. I'm quite disappointed since this would have been the perfect solution to protect our water usage while still allowing the hose to be connected. Plus, after 4 years I doubt a refund or return is possible.

Don't pay attention to the instructions
Like others, I got this because someone was stealing my water. My neighbor caught some guy pulling up to the front of my house, and using my hose and water to fill up a big RV. I searched for different options, and this seemed the most promising. However, ignore the written instructions to install it. Instead, go to the Company's web site and watch about a 2 minute video showing how to install it. At least for me, it was much easier to install after seeing it demonstrated. The video made it seem so easy. I should have known, it would not be that easy for me.The video shows the original water handle being lifted off after the top screw has been removed. Well, my water handle would not come off. Neither the written instructions, nor the Company's web site tells you what to do in that situation. It turned out corrosion inside the handle where it attached to the water faucet was keeping me from removing the handle. After searching around the Internet, I found out what to do:Spray inside the handle where the screw was removed with WD40. After a couple of minutes, take a hammer and gently tap on first one side of the handle, then the other. Then, use a screwdriver leveraged under the handle to pry it off. If it is still not coming off, squirt some more WD40, and tap each side a few times, and repeat. Doing this twice worked for me.After I got the faucet handle off, it installed just as the video showed. It has worked just fine since then, and you cannot turn the water on without inserting the key. Finally, although the photo shows it in blue, the one I received was green. I like the green one better because it blends in with the green hose wound up next to the faucet. However, if you have your heart set on blue, you might not receive that color as the Company apparently substitutes green for blue without notice.

Good product
I only gave it 4 stars because the magnetic keys won't stay in place. They keep falling out when turned upside down. You have to hold them in. Other than that it does what it's suppose to do.

Pretty good, but...
Does the job. I ordered two, each came with 2 keys, and all 4 are keyed alike. This was perfect for my use, but may not be for some. You may need to call them first.Pretty easy to install. The only issue I have is that I can't remove it (which may be a problem if I have to move). I called customer service, they answered promptly and were very courteous. However, I was told to insert the key and turn the lock counterclockwise to remove it, but to no avail.Delivery was on time.

Perfect for keeping control over your hose valve!
Awesome product and is perfect for keeping my kids from turning the hose on and off. Only ding was that there were no instructions but I was able to figure it out. I accidentally ordered 3 with them being keyed differently and they called me before shipping to confirm that and I was able to change to all being keyed alike. I love great customer service like that! Great product and price and I am very happy with the purchase.

One broke, two didn’t work, returned
Ordered three of them. Tried installing and the first one’s adapter for square shafts crumbled in my hand. Got another one and tried to install it. Nothing crumbled but the handle didn’t work. The water turned on with or without the key. I attempted to adjust everything. Took it all off and reinstalled. Replaced parts using those from the broken one. Nothing worked. Sending them back. Disappointing as the idea seems perfect for my needs but it doesn’t work... oh well... that’s why Amazon has returns!

Does NOT work as Advertised. . . .
This is NOT working as advertised. It makes a great, comfortable, handle to turn my water on and off. The key does not make a difference. My water can be turned on with or without the key. I have contacted customer service with no return phone call. I followed the included directions and verified it with the online videos. This product does not work as advertised. If you are buying this to secure your water from being turned on or off without the key, save your money. If you are buying this to have a comfortable handle to operate your water, then good for you. If I do not get a return call from the company, I will be returning this to Amazon. DOES NOT WORK FOR WHAT I NEED
