Oypla Wooden Hedgehog House Hibernation Shelter 360x240x400mm

I love this, it was very easy to put together if I can do it anyone can. It looks good in the garden. Bigger than what ai expected. I have a very small cat she could get inside, but big cats couldn't. I've got mine standing.on a wooden plant stand, it needs some air under it, and somewhere if possible under bushes. I've put mine out now hoping they will find it for winter hibernation

Needs a little help to make it completely waterproof

The metal tongues do not align with sides so these have to be repositioned for assembly to work but it’s cheap & easy enough to do this minor amendment. An all-weather coating might be advisable if you want it to last seasons.

Saving hedge hogs during the winter.

This house is disappointing as the entrance is very large and offers no protection from the elements or predators. The arch through to the sleeping area is in the middle of the dividing “wall” and so doesn’t leave a warm protected area for the hedgehog to sleep safely in. You can find a better hedgehog house than this.

We love our hedgehog hideout. It is very sturdy and easy to assemble. We have one hedgehog who visits every night for his nibbles, and a hideaway from the rain!! I am looking forward to filling the second compartment with special hedgehog filling for hibernation and hoping we can keep our buddy warm and safe over the winter. Will definitely be purchasing another one as we now have a second little visitor!!!!

I have put this together and placed in my garden but not holding out much hope. The floor is extremely thin, I have bought stick on floor tiles to adhere underneath to try and give it some substance. Also fitted feet, as without the floor will likely rot. The roof looks good and solid but I have still put a large doormat over the top to try and protect from the elements, as there are gaps in the side where the wooden panels meet. It may be OK as a feeding station but would not recommend for nesting hogs or hibernation.

Very pleased with the quality of this hedgehog house, nice sturdy construction and pleased it has a water resistant roof and protected sleeping area away form possible predators.Would have appreciated some build instructions included as it was not ready assembled, but not too difficult to actually put together. Also no mention of if the timber product is treated with a preservative or if I need to apply it - would be useful to know to prolong its life.
