Very easy to use. I like the colour-coding which makes it really clear to tell if there is something wrong. It is about the size of my hand so very portable & easily stored. The screen is a good size and the numbers are large. Braun is a reliable brand that produces good quality products, this is definitely good quality & should last a while. In terms of accuracy it is the same as my infrared thermometer so accuracy is spot on.

After a recent discussion with my doctor, apparently I can't use my meat thermometer to take my tempreture which kind of bothered me because my thinking was if it was accurate enough to prevent me getting food poisoning I figured it would be accurate to take my temp but here we are, I rethought that and bought the same brand the doctors use. This is excellent for my needs, its not top of the line but it's very accurate, inexpensive, simple to operate and my doctor only laughs at my actual jokes now 😏

The Braun ThermoScan 3 is very easy to use and works well for its purpose. The measurement is quick—just about 1 second—which is great when dealing with restless little ones. It’s clearly designed to be family-friendly, especially suitable for babies and infants. The reading accuracy is very good, though not perfect—especially for newborns it performs well enough to give a reliable indication of fever. While it’s not 100% precise, it’s close enough to be trusted for everyday use. The brightness of the digital display isn’t the best, which can make it a bit harder to read in certain lighting conditions. Overall, the value for money is excellent, making this a solid choice if you want a fast, user-friendly, and generally accurate ear thermometer for home use.

Handy to have in the first aid box. I got it when someone was not well and now I couldn't be without it, a great thing to have, although we hope we will not need it, it is peace of mind ! It is good quality and we easily clean it after every use with alcohol wipes. The temperature display is clear and simple to read. Essential for keeping us all safe.

I wish I’d never bought this thermometer. I thought buying a known brand would serve me well. It’s no less than dangerous. It’s awful for the following reasons : * Incredibly inaccurate, it always reads less than it should (I used other thermometers to confirm). * It repeatedly shows different temperatures, even if you don’t take the thermometer out of the ear. I’ve also tried taking it out and putting it back in and it still reads various temperatures. I also tried leaving it in the ear several seconds before I pressed the button to take a reading and it’s still inaccurate. * It’s constantly showing and bleeping with an error code. I have to keep pressing the button to get it to clear. * It’s incredibly difficult to work out which bleeps mean what, wether it’s the error code, switching on or off or if it’s it’s supposedly taken the temperature. If you’re hard of hearing, DO NOT buy this device. Buy a version that will illuminate red for a fever. * My child is 10 yrs old and I find it difficult to get it sufficiently into their ear, which they find uncomfortable and get agitated because I’m having to repeatedly take their temperature in the hope to get an ‘average’ because it’s so unreliable. * The screen is difficult to read compared to my cheap oral thermometer I’ve had for years. The green screen on this Braun is rather grey/green and the numbers blend in too much. * This version of thermometers screen stays green even with a fever. When you’re stressed with a poorly child, having the screen go red is incredibly helpful. * You have to change the ear piece cover every time you use the thermometer. I did know this before I purchased it, but if you’ve got a frequently poorly person like I have, that cost will add up, especially when you’re having to repeatedly test at the same time because the readings are always different with this thermometer. I expected for over £20 I was committing to quality and a reliable thermometer. I was very wrong this time. For now I will stick to under £10 oral thermometers that work as they should and that’s far easier and safer to use. Sorry.

Avevo già un altro thermoscan Braun ma di oltre 11 anni fa. Era per mio figlio che ora è cresciuto. Ho provato altri termometri auricolari ma danno tutti i numeri! E non riuscivo mai a dare la giusta temperatura anche con scarti di 1°C. Davvero troppo! Assolutamente sconfortanti. Il Braun è stato l'unico che si avvicinava ai valori del termometro clinico ad espansione (il vecchio termometro a mercurio, che poi era ad alcool, ma va beh...) Ho visto decine di video ed ero indeciso tra il thermoscan 6 ed il thermoscan 7. Al momento dell'acquisto il 7 costava meno (45 €) ma richiedeva di impostare per ogni misura l'età del paziente. Io invece volevo un termometro "prendi e misura" a prova di errori e confusioni, perché quando serve di misurare sei sempre in stato d'ansia e preoccupato (sono un genitore mica un sanitario!) per cui non volevo situazioni che generassero dubbi o incomprensioni. Per cui seppur controvoglia per il prezzo troppo elevato (oltre 55 euro) ho stretto i denti ed ho scelto il modello Thermoscan 6 che misura in senso assoluto e non ha la funzione di "interpreta con l'età" che invece ha il 7. Arrivato, provato e soddisfatto. Fatto più prove incrociate con il vecchio Thermoscan 1 di oltre 11 anni fa le differenze di misura sullo stesso orecchio, nello stesso momento, erano di solo 0.1°C. Per cui più che ottimo! Ha il display illuminato e la backlight in colore variabile in funzione della gravità di temperatura. Attenzione ai copripunta trasparenti! Anche se praticamente uguali sono di un modello differente dal mio vecchio Thermoscan 1 e non sono compatibili! Inoltre differentemente (ancora) dal mio vecchio 1 il coperchio di protezione della sonda non si può mettere se prima non si toglie il copripunta trasparente. Quindi se devi fare misure ripetitive (finora non ho mai misurato una volta e poi via ... ma ho sempre ripetuto la misura 2-3 volte a distanza di 10-15 minuti) la punta riscaldata (e già ... molto confortevole!) non può essere richiusa e messa in sicurezza ed il termometro rimane aperto e vulnerabile a possibili cadute. Inoltre molto pratico l'uso di semplici batterie AA da 1.5 volt. Spero di essere stato utile

Its a very good product. Especialy for family has kid. Its operate fast and accuracy. I would recommend this product for everyone.

Para tomarle la temperatura a mi criatura lo pasaba fatal, el termómetro tarda mucho, uno de frente y de oído no da ña temperatura real, y este se lo vimos a un médico y no dudamos en comprarlo Es caro, pero es rápido y eficaz, tarda 3 segundos en tomar la temperatura del oído y es realmente certero. Si tienes un bebé, no te lo pienses, 100% recomendable. Un súper acierto.
