Great
Honestly the best ones I've found on here they are good value for money and you get a decent quantity for the price. With other brands I have had quality issues and defects where I've not had an issue with these and always get great test resutls. They also fir pretty nice and snug too

Frustrating and an expensive mistake
Having run out of Petechtool pass though RJ45 pass through connectors I bought these based on reviews and value - BIG MISTAKE. I have wasted so much ethernet cable cut to size which then becomes much to short after multiple shortenings trying to get a good connection. NO way with tester to tell which end of the cable is defective, but with pass through you can verify wires are in the right order. Whilst with my old connectors I was getting a 95% success rate with these I am getting a 10% at best rate and then intermittent. Good light, magnifying glass and good visual inspection indicate a good fit, but no connection - often only one pin failing so cant be cross wired. I am relegating these to the bin and the company to my avoid list. cost and wasted materials to me substantial. I am having to rewire all my fittings used with this connector.

Good for terminating cat 6 cables
Feel well made & work well for basic installs, not tested them for anything major so can't comment on that

Absolutely terrible! Don't waste your money!
I've been making network cables for years, and to this day I find putting RJ45's plugs on a bit fiddly. As careful as I am, sometimes one wire doesn't quiet reach the prong or a couple of wires get flipped over and I have to cut it off and start again. Human error and all that, we've all done it. So this is where I thought "PASSTHRU RJ45'S THAT'S GENIUS, I'LL SAVE SO MUCH TIME, CUT DOWN ON HUMAN ERROR AND STOP WASTING PLUGS"... oh how wrong I was. I bought these plugs and made a cable up and it tested bad. (*NOTE* One end of the cable had a preassembled plug on it). Despite passing thru all 8 wires in the correct order, once crimped only wires 1, 5,6,7,8 would work. So I cut it off and tried another one. Again only 1,2,5,6,8 worked. Ok, that's bad luck right? So I cut it off and tried another. Again it tested bad as 1,2,4,5,8. I cut it off and grabbed a regular RJ45 I had lying around, fed the wires in, crimped it down and it was fine first time. Wires 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 all tested ok. Thank goodness for my cable tester otherwise I'd have no way of being able to diagnose the issue being the plug and not the cable. To look at these plugs the wires look like they were terminating but on closer inspection, I'm not convinced all of the blades were puncturing the wire sleeves and some of the plastic looks like it was getting deformed by my crimping tool which doesn't happen with every other plug I've ever crimped. I'm sending these back for a refund, and looking at other feedback, I'm not the only one. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I can't rely on these at all. Of the handful I tried, none worked.

When you're working with ethernet cables, having quality connectors makes all the difference between a job that goes smoothly and one that's frustrating and wasteful. These Cable Matters connectors are the real deal – they're well-made, reliable, and designed to work perfectly with pass-through crimping tools. The pass-through design is what sets these apart from standard connectors. Instead of having to carefully trim and arrange the wires inside a closed connector, you can feed them all the way through, making sure everything's lined up correctly before you crimp. This dramatically reduces mistakes and wasted connectors. You can see exactly what you're doing, verify the wire order at a glance, and get consistent results every time. The gold plating on the contacts is a nice touch. That 50 micron gold plating isn't just for show – it provides better conductivity and resistance to corrosion compared to unplated connectors. When you're making cables that need to last and perform reliably, that kind of quality matters. You're not going to have issues with degraded connections or signal problems down the line. These are specifically designed for Cat 6 cable, and they fit perfectly. The sizing is spot on – not too tight where you're forcing the cable in, and not too loose where you don't get a secure connection. They accommodate the proper cable diameter and work smoothly with the crimping process. That proper fit is crucial for maintaining the cable's performance specifications. The build quality is consistently good across the pack. I haven't run into any defective or malformed connectors in the batch. Each one is properly manufactured with clean edges and properly aligned contacts. When you're buying a 100-pack, that consistency is important. You don't want to be sorting through looking for good ones or dealing with failures during installation. Having 100 connectors in a pack is incredibly practical. If you're doing any kind of volume work – whether it's wiring up a building, running cables for a network installation, or just handling multiple projects – you need a good supply of connectors on hand. Running out in the middle of a job is a hassle, and this quantity means you're well-stocked. Even if you're making mistakes or need to redo a few cables, you've got plenty to work with. The connectors work smoothly with standard pass-through crimping tools. The crimping action is clean, and the connectors secure properly without cracking or deforming. You get a solid, professional-looking crimp that's mechanically and electrically sound. The cable stays firmly attached, and the connection is reliable. Performance-wise, these maintain the Cat 6 specifications you need. When you're going to the trouble of using Cat 6 cable, you want connectors that won't be the weak link in your installation. These support the bandwidth and performance requirements without causing signal degradation or interference issues. Your network runs at the speed it should. The clear design is actually helpful. Being able to see the wire arrangement through the connector means you can quickly verify everything's correct even after it's crimped. That visual confirmation is useful for troubleshooting and quality checking your work. It's a small detail that adds practical value. Packaging is straightforward – they come in a container that keeps them organized and protected. You're not dealing with a loose bag where connectors are getting damaged or tangled. The container is resealable, so you can take out what you need and keep the rest in good condition. Value for money is excellent. When you break down the per-connector cost in a 100-pack, you're getting professional quality components at a price that makes sense. Compared to buying smaller quantities or dealing with cheap knockoffs that don't work reliably, this is the smarter investment. For anyone doing network cable installations, whether professionally or for personal projects, having a good supply of quality connectors is essential. These Cable Matters pass-through connectors deliver the quality and consistency you need to do the job right. They work well, they last, and they help you create reliable network connections that'll perform properly for years. Really satisfied with the quality and value this pack provides.
