Sturdy and Reliable Connectors for Custom Audio Cables—Great Value for DIY Projects
**HSP-HSWITI Audio 1/4" TS Plug, 6.35mm Heavy Duty TS Mono Male Solder Jack Connector for Speaker/Guitar/Microphone Cables - 5 Pack****Sturdy and Reliable Connectors for Custom Audio Cables—Great Value for DIY Projects**I recently purchased the HSP-HSWITI Audio 1/4" TS Plug 5-pack to make some custom cables for my guitar setup, and they turned out to be a fantastic investment. These heavy-duty connectors are perfect for anyone looking to build or repair audio cables for guitars, speakers, or microphones.**What I Liked:**- **Solid Build Quality**: The connectors are made from durable materials and have a solid, heavy-duty feel. The metal casing is robust and can withstand regular use without showing signs of wear. These connectors are designed to last, which is crucial for any audio setup that sees frequent use.- **Easy to Solder**: One of the things I appreciated most about these plugs is how easy they were to work with. The soldering points are well-placed and spacious enough to make the soldering process straightforward, even for those who might not have a lot of experience. I was able to attach the wires securely, and the connections turned out clean and strong.- **Secure Fit**: The plugs fit snugly into all of my equipment’s jacks, providing a secure connection without any wiggle or looseness. This ensures a stable audio signal with no dropouts or static, which is exactly what you want from a custom cable. Whether I used them with my guitar, speaker, or microphone, the connections were always solid.- **Versatile Use**: These connectors are versatile and can be used with a wide range of audio equipment. I’ve used them to create cables for my guitar, microphone, and speakers, and they’ve performed flawlessly in each application. The 6.35mm size is standard, so they’re compatible with most audio gear.- **Great Value for Money**: Considering the quality and quantity you get in this 5-pack, these connectors are an excellent value. They’re affordable yet don’t compromise on durability or performance, making them a smart choice for anyone looking to create or repair multiple cables on a budget.**What I Didn’t Like:**- **Screw-On Cap**: The screw-on cap is secure, but it can be a bit tricky to align properly when closing up the connector after soldering. It’s not a major issue, but it requires a little patience to ensure it’s screwed on correctly without cross-threading. Once it’s on, though, it stays put.- **No Strain Relief**: These connectors don’t come with built-in strain relief, so you’ll need to be careful when handling the cables to avoid putting too much stress on the solder joints. If you’re planning to use these cables in a setting where they’ll be moved around a lot, you might want to add some external strain relief to protect the connections.- **Basic Aesthetics**: The design is functional and straightforward, but it’s not the most stylish. If you’re looking for connectors with a more polished or decorative look, these might seem a bit plain. However, they get the job done, and that’s what matters most.**Bottom Line:**The HSP-HSWITI Audio 1/4" TS Plug 5-pack is a great choice for anyone looking to build or repair audio cables for guitars, microphones, or speakers. The solid build quality, ease of soldering, and secure fit make these connectors reliable and durable, ensuring your custom cables perform well in any situation. While the screw-on cap requires some care, and there’s no built-in strain relief, these are minor issues compared to the overall value and performance these plugs offer. If you’re into DIY audio projects or need to repair your own cables, this 5-pack is an excellent investment. I’m very pleased with how my custom cables turned out, and I’ll definitely consider these connectors for future projects.

Mistake or was it?
I mistakeningly thought it was a right angle adapter but I was able to turn into one. Hopefully it helps out those who made the same mistake as me

Worked great for my use
The negative reviews are VERY entertaining to me. This is not an adaptor. It's a new plug and you need to solder the wire in place.I did not buy these for audio. I bought these to do a lighting project on an older Coleman camp trailer. It for whatever reason uses 1/4" jacks for 12v power. I hooked up a few sets of LED lights using these plugs and they worked great.Even without me using these for audio I can say that they felt pretty solid. I don't have much to compare this to but a lot of other brands I looked at had bad reviews showing broken plugs. These felt like they were going to hold together well.I suppose this review won't be helpful to most since it's really an audio product but... it is good to note again that this is not an adaptor, it's also not advertised as one. That blame should fall on amazon and not the product if it is showing up in adaptor searches

Very disappointed
These were purchased so that I could make a repair to a current guitar cable. One of the ends had become unusable, plus I wanted to convert to a right angle. Saw these and thought they would be a good choice. When I received them, before doing a soldering job, I took one out of the package and attempted to plug it into my guitar jack. It would not go in. Seemed to be too thick. Then I tried it into an amp. Same thing - wrong size. Without taking any measurements, it appears to be the correct size when compared to connectors on other cables I own, but it won't go in and I'm not about to try to force it in. These have to go back. I didn't try any of the other connectors in the package because one bad one is one too many. The manufacturer should check their quality control standards. I'll just go to my local GC and find something suitable.

Sufficient Quality, Affordable
Easy to use, ready-to-solder standard 1/4" phono plug. Strange "gold" plated tip with standard metalic sleeve detracts from appearance. Fully functional. No problems with usage in guitar amp repairs.
