Summit B & Co Alfresco Smokeless BBQ Grill

This is an excellent BBQ. Best use charcoal from the bags of charcoal you light, as they're small pieces which fit nicely in the charcoal holder. Use small amount of fire gel to start it. The AA batteries or USB charger just supplies the fan to get the gel really going.From lighting to ready for cooking is around 5 minutes.In my opinion it's only really big enough for 2 steaks and some mini corn on the cobs and peppers, so best for 2 people, though would stretch to a family of 4.The charcoal will last around 30 to 45 minutes, so OK for a meal, but won't last all afternoon for a long BBQ session.I also use a BBQ cooking mat on mine cut to size - you can get round ones.This is the best and easiest BBQ I've ever used. I'm taking mine on holiday, as you can fit all the bits and cooking tools (not included with the BBQ) inside the BBQ and it has its own carry bag. As an added bonus, it's so so easy to clean. It also remains cool on the sides and underneath, so much so, that you can cook on a plastic table - see photo.I give it 5*+, even though it seems expensive.

Works great, had it for 3 years and just used today and plastic base set on fire and melted!Please don't use unattended

Cooked the food perfectly, very easy and Asa clean. Would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a modern upgrade to the Bbq, that is portable.Very easy to clean!

After using the grill/BBQ for a weekend in wales, we were quite pleased by the performance of the little fan and how quickly it got the charcoal up to temperature. The only issue we have is that 4 burgers for our dinner were a tight fit as the grill only really gets hot enough to cook, in a reasonable time, in the centre 10/15cm plate. The griddle area around the edge is quite a lot cooler. It also takes a long time to cool down. Which I don’t mind as it delays the washing up trip until I’ve had a sit down to work off my dinner.

Excellent, works exactly as it says. White surround and base barely get warm, fan system is very effective. A little more than the rest, but you get what you pay for, a quality built product.

Product caught fire. Correctly used however the plastic base and battery compartment caught fire.

Seems to get to cooking heat in around 7 minutes. Have found it fairly fussy over the type of AA batteries it likes. The positive end needs to be quite prominent so find it easier to use the 'USB' socket. The outside remains very cool so can be placed or any surface that can stand fat be splattered out during cooking.Like any BBQ the cleaning is a pain.
