Good seat for all to use.
After nee surgery I needed a raised seat, so I did not have to get up from a low toilet.the handles are a must have to help you get up. Very happy with this seat and can recommend it.

This seat has helped my daughter tremendously following hip surgeries, when she is unable to lower herself onto the commode. It is fairly sturdy with hand grips that help her to transition from her wheelchair. The only complaint I have is that, over time, the tightening screw is more difficult to adjust and not as effective in securing the seat.

It is perfect. Sturdy once tightened
I bought this for my mom to use when she visits. It is perfect. Sturdy once tightened. Easy to put on and take off. We have had no issues. I would recommend.

Isn't the whole point of a toilet to keep urine OFF the floor?!
Really, I deserve the two stars for not following friends' advice and buying a very basic elevated seat. This sucker is (1) difficult to keep stable on the toilet, (2) a weird, hard-to-clean texture, and (3) narrow in just the wrong spot with the handles. To explain #3: when you sit back as you would on a normal toilet seat, the handles keep your thighs rather close together. If you aren't careful to keep them well separated, you risk having your urine stream diverted up between your thighs or, strangely, straight out the divot in the front of the seat. Sitting up further toward the front of the seat doesn't help, because then the very thick outside rim directs your flow out the divot and onto the floor. I've had two major orthopedic surgeries in four months and wish I could blame the odd aim on my broken body, but the other two women who've tried the seat had the same issues, too.Bottom line (ha...) is that with the handles removed it's been an OK help for the first week of an acute injury. After that, it's really easier to figure out lowering myself a few more inches to the actual toilet. I cannot imagine this being safe for a geriatric user unless s/he has constant supervision.

The concept is great, but the twist to tighten knob just doesn't give it that "stick" or "permanent" feel. I have it as tight as it will go and when my father went to use the handle to sit, it came off the toilet. So, every so often I have to go and tighten it again and make sure it's on there. Maybe it's the type of toilet I have but it's better than nothing.
