Comfortably yank even short hairs with enough batteries
I own an Emjoi e18 and since it has become a daily part of my facial hair removal routine, I figured having an extra made good sense (and yes, sadly, "daily" and "routine" are necessary in my case). I bought the e24 assuming that it would be a small step up from the e18. That's just about it. Of course, with a few more tweezers, the e24 does remove hair more quickly than the e18--about 6 tweezers worth quicker, meaning it's not going to cut out half of your epilating time if you already use the e18. Surprisingly, the e24 is just a little larger than the e18. Because the advertising says it is the first 24-tweezer pocket-sized epilation device, it is easy to assume that it's going to be smaller than previous models, but it's plainly not smaller than the Epi-Slim e18. My favorite improvement to this model is the battery compartment. The batteries can be installed and removed without much concern for the device, whereby it is easy to bend parts of the e18 because the one end of the battery compartment is tucked into the device. My only disappointment in comparing the e24 to the e18 is that the curves are gone. The e18 is easier to hold onto because it has a sort of hourglass figure to it.They used the word "power" in the name. When Braun did it, their device had a cord. This device does not have a cord. It takes two AA batteries and seems to suck them dry in 15-25 minutes. If you really need this device, you also need a battery charger and some rechargeable batteries. The use of the word "power" here is actually meant to tell the buyer that this little device can epilate like the big dogs even without a cord and even with the possibility of being a great cordless epilator for travel (if you need to epilate very little). IT'S TRUE. You would have to really work to bog this motor down and that is a real asset. It keeps spinning far past the point where the e18 would be giving up. This helps with efficiency and with getting some difficult areas hair free. For those new to epilating, however, this power should be approached with caution. If it is turning faster and not getting slowed down, it can surely damage skin faster, too.My favorite thing about a lot of the Emjoi epilators is that they will, in reality, grab shorter hairs than most other epilators. Since I epilate my face and have yet to emerge truly hair-free, I shave immediately after epilating in the morning. With an Emjoi epilator, most of the hair I just shaved will be removed the next morning. I love my Phillips epilator, but it cannot do that. For me, that perk makes the Emjoi e18 and e24 the best epilators I have used for my face. All in all, this is a great epilator that could be better. A cord really is in order, I think. The curvier e18 really is easier to keep a hold on. After about 30 minutes, this epilator gets quite a bit hotter than my e18 and I feel it is necessary to turn it off sooner. Still, you almost cannot epilate shorter hairs with anything and it really is easier on the face than most. I don't have a lot of pockets this will fit in, but it will fit in my messenger bag. Now, I just need a miniature battery charger that can charge two batteries in 15 minutes and I will be ready for travel. As it stands right now, I'm charging eight batteries in a charger that is twice the size of the device, so the whole pocket aspect isn't all it's cracked up to be for everyone.

Disappointed.
I dislike the product immensely. I was so disappointed. It didnt pull most of my whiskers( i have thick hair on my chin and lip ) even though i went back and forth many times, i tried different angles, went slow then fast & in circle motions. Maybe i have too oily of skin ? I am unfortunately sending it back, i guess i should have known i need an expensive Braun or better name brand in order to perform how i need it to. Im so sick of plucking one hair at a time at my makeup mirror getting all cramped up & its so time consuming. I was hoping 4 a product i can just grab and use while watching tv. This is horrifyingly LOUD and made an even louder sound when it did manage 2 pluck a hair. It reminded me of the sound a wood chipper makes when u shove in a tree branch to chop it into mulch. Even my dog looked up horrified. I dang near dropped the thing. Its slippery & smooth w no grip except the tiny triangular button. They should make indents for ur fingers to go in. U may find wrapping a rubber band or 2 around it will help. Its very tedious to clean. I was hoping for something i could just rinse under water. Instead u brush it out with the barbie doll brush, then ur suppose 2 use alcohol on q tips to get into the tweezer area. What a pain. Only alcohol i keep in the house is whisky. Lol. Idk if this is an older model or what ? If so, its kinda pricey for an old model. Maybe a newer model would benifit me. It seems like its deceitful calling it epi POWER. i thought that ment it was rechargable and u could use it hooked up to electricity. But it takes 2 double A batteries. Also disappointing. For now its back to the make up mirror for me. Happy tweezing ladies.

Not sure
I’m u sure if this is pulling out the hairs or just trimming them like a razor. The sound alone scared the s**t out of me! I tried it on my face and while it didn’t feel good it certainly wasn’t unbearable.

Does the job
The surface area on this unit is the perfect size between the "facial" ones and the full sized ones. Good power, easy to hold, and removes hair as described. Glad I found it.

It Works!
In spite of the noise and the tricky battery insertion, this works well. It is fairly easy to clean. Doesn't really hurt. You just feel a tiny little flicker on certain areas now and then. I does not grab the skin the way the much larger ones do as long as you make sure the skin is tight. The hairs come off quickly even though some areas have to be done in circles before it plucks out which gives a temporary red mark that goes away by the time you are done. Leaves the area smooth, no stuble. The only negative is that is is plastic so I hope I never drop it.
