Very good quality
The runout was just under .001" which is good enough for me. The quality is fantastic. I will definitely buy again. The only negative is the tool is not marked accusize, its Canadian tool company. Not sure if its the same company or not but the quality is definitely there.

Nice piece of tooling.
This is a very nice looking collet chuck right out of the box. All critical surfaces are ground to a very nice surface finish. The threads look good and the laser-etched lettering is a nice touch. I am currently acquiring some tooling for a bench top milling machine so I don't have any collets to test with this. I set it up in my lathe to check accuracy. Please note that this is not a very precise way of testing things, especially down to a resolution of 0.0001". I have a set-tru chuck which I used to get the shank running within about 0.0002" TIR, checked in 2 locations to ensure concentricity. When I checked the taper inside the collet chuck I was getting around 0.0006-0.0008" of runout. This means if my measurements are correct I have around 0.0005" of runout within the collet chuck. But again, this was not a scientific test by any means. Given the configuration of this tool I think the runout is quite acceptable. I plan on using this for semi-quick change tooling in an R8 spindle. With a 3/4" R8 collet installed I can swap out any tool with a 3/4" shank pretty quick. Using this setup means I'll have some amount of runout in the spindle itself, the R8 collet, this Accusize collet chuck, the ER collet, and possibly whatever tool I'm using. So with the stacked tolerances of 5 different pieces I'm not going to get crazy high levels of precision. Given the reasonable asking price, the excellent surface finishes, and the relatively high precision of this tool I can't find any reason to deduct a star. Once I get some collets I plan on buying a couple more of these chucks so I can just leave them setup with individual tools. The ER16 size is perfect for very small end mills or drills up to 3/8 diameter tooling while keeping the chuck small enough for good clearance.

Does who I need it to do.
It's a pretty standard straight shank er-16 collet chuck. I haven't checked the runout out it or anything. I'm not using it for any rotating applications. I've pretty much dedicated this to use on a homemade grinding jig that I use for regrinding small boring bars and form tools. Definitely beats burning my fingers trying to to it by hand.

Very well machined!
This Accusize ER16 Collet Chuck seems to be very well machined. I have some collets on order, but they haven't arrived yet. I make a lot of identical things on the lathe and have been thinking a collet might make the production smoother, so when I saw this collet holder from the Accusize Industrial Tools Store on Amazon Vine, I jumped on it. The tool is not marked Accusize, but is marked CanCNC, which I searched for and found that CanCNC is actually a division of Accusize. I'm really excited about using this holder with ER16 collets, and I'll come back and edit this review if there are any surprises. From the quality of the machining on this collet holder I'm comfortable saying: I recommend it.

Picture Perfect Accusize Industrial Tools ER16 Collet
The Accusize Industrial Tools ER16 Collet is picture perfect. The design, quality, and construction meets all specifications. It looks like Accusize Industrial is fast becoming the "go to" tool Company for high grade cutters and tooling. The 3/4" ER16 Collet I ordered works as intended in every way. Performance is spot on. Flawless.

First Accusize tool - I'll buy more!
Very nice at a great price. My first Accusize tool, but it won't be my last! I haven't had a chance to put it through all its paces, but I'm rating it 5 stars because it is obviously a quality tool.

I Have Good Experiences Using This Brand of Collet Holders
The media could not be loaded. This is actually a CanCNC branded collet holder. I have other CanCNC collet holders that I'm happy with as a hobby machinist. They impress me as being a class above many of the inexpensive tooling items I encounter on Amazon. All the surfaces are nicely finished, the threads are very good and I do not have any complaints. As I said, I have positive experiences with CanCNC branded tools. If you are new to collet holders, my video shows the right way to insert a collet. They snap into place. Collet nuts are supposed to have a non-concentric ring inside, as this one does. That's not a manufacturing defect. It is by design and it serves an important purpose.

Good item
Very nice finished, haven't checked runout but my other Accusize tools have been good. Unlike many other straight shank collet adapters, this has a thread in the back which could be used as a depth stop

Well made tool
Good quality tool for fair price

Rust the very first day it was used
Junk metal. Will rust immediately if you do not use rust inhibitors or oil coating
