i dont know if we will reach the fully electric car world, but at least for now there is a lot of EV cars already driving around and even though they are simpler, they need fixing and maintance, and this Launch EV is the perfect tool for that, with special funtions like "coolant bleeding" and "OBC Test", you can do basic repairs and maintance, it has most of the american and chinese EV brands, including tesla, so for the price this is a must have, as all launch products, it has nice built quality, easy to use software, good battery and the option to add some extra tools like TPMS gun and the Battery tester. Compact, fast and easy to use.

Okay, so I got this to read trouble codes for my OBD-II. It is BIG! That's good for some because it is very easy to read it, and bad for those that want something smaller for better portability. It's pretty straight forward and you can easily find out what each trouble code is for through the database. It comes with a long cable for ease of use and includes a USB cable for uploading the data to your computer. There are plenty of functions for all of your automotive onboard diagnostic needs. I am glad that I have it. So far, so good. I haven't had any reliability issues with it. Because it has a large screen and buttons, there should be no problems for those using thick gloves to use it. Would I get it again? Yes, I am glad that I got it. It's very useful and simple to read trouble codes or reset things with this scanner.

Needed a cheaper shop scanner that could reset oil/maintenance lights. Hit or miss on what cars work. Easy to use. Handy for the price. Does take a second to read which obd 2 system but other then that and possible needed up date (2023 was last update when got the scanner) good value if just using scanner part. Easy to read i/m monitor and codes.

This scanner is quality built scan tool that feels rugged and durable. Scanner powers on quickly and provides a quality health report as other launch scanners do. One con is this scanner says it will hook to Tesla’s. Although unit does not come with correct cable to connect for Tesla.

If you're looking for an easy learning curve device with a decent amount of features, functions, and also for practical use then this is a recommended scanner. Many come in more expensive with less features than what this scanner offers. Features included in the description are accurate. Just keep in mind that some vehicles don't support some functions because they're not equipped with it. With that in mind, some features on the scanner won't work on some cars. If you're a professional, then this scanner is a reliable quick diagnostic tool if you're on the go and want quick data.

Completly unsatisfied, i bought it to check my chevrolet spark ev 2016 battery degradation and only shows the cells voltage but no SOC or SOH % (that is i wanted to know) as shows on you tube videos, and don't detetcs the JMEV3 and Cenntro avantier commuter brands of ev cars, hoping them add them on next updates, for now is a piece of garbage holding my door.

Been using it for a few days and I like it more and more everytime. It has worked on all Gas, diesel and EVs I have checked so far and does majority of what my other scan tool did. Happy to recommend it to people looking for a scan tool for professional and personal use.

Does not do tesla have a 2016 tesla try to use scanner to check suspension system pressure will not do. Try to use scanner to check battery system voltage will not do. Try to check park assist sensors and system will not read basically unusable with 2016 tesla model S
