I was initially worried the wheels would be damanged with the super loose packaging (hinges were just thrown in a box wiht the wheels in a sealed back so everything was easy to move around during shipping/potentially chip a wheel) Otherwise, super easy to install: Mark the location of the old hinge, check to see if its number 1/2/3, remove the 4 bolts, slide the wheel out of the track... Assemble the new hinge/wheel/insert into track, replace 4 bolts, good to go. The process took about 20 minute DO NOT LOOSEN THE BOTTOM WHEEL BRACKETS WITHOUT UNLOADING THE SPRING. Doing so will cause SERIOUS INJURY. TO replace the bottom wheel, open the garage door, bend the track open wiht pliers, pull the garage door down and pop it out of the track, and then remove the wheel to replace it. DO NOT LOOSEN ANY BOLTS ON THE BOTTOM BRACKET! The garage door will remain stable while doing htis, unless you have a loose or broken spring. Instructions are all over video tube sites

Super bright and easy to install

The rollers are nice and quiet, install mostly easy. The package came with all the parts. I did have a problem with the top roller brackets. One of the four I ordered had a different hole pattern than the other three. This required that I elongate two of the bottom holes in order to install it. Our rollers are not standard in most big box stores and did not find a lot of stock in any size nearby.

My garage door is 30 years old and needed an overhaul. I’m very satisfied with the quality and ease of installing this kit but the replacement cables were too short for my door. However what needed replacing the most were the pulleys which I ordered separately from amazon. If you decide to replace the pulleys use extreme caution. Take as much tension off the springs as possible by opening the door as far as it will go before disconnecting the cables at the bottom of the door. If there’s still a lot of tension call a professional to do it. Also get some lithium grease and fully lubricate the cables. If they are frayed replace them. You might have to go to a hardware store to find the correct length.

With this kit I replaced my whole door. immediately I noticed the difference, in fact I had to adjust my garage door opened and lower the torque when opening and closing the door, because the added friction from the old metal rollers is gone as well as the old rusty hinges. It now opens and closes quickly turning my door again after 14 yrs back to the quiet levels it was when it was first installed.

Read carefully the list of contents as to the number of the various hinges and roller guides you need. The old ones have numbers on them - make sure you get the same number of matching hinges and rollers. Good value for the money. See utube for install hints. Work safe

I renovate old homes. Sometimes repairing a garage door makes sense. I removed the hardware from the old five panel wood door, stripped the panels repaired and repainted and reassembled. I ordered this kit for replacement hardware. The door doesn't come close to being able to be weather striped because the height or the roller brackets is too low. There are different height brackets available, apparently #1-#5. I had to purchase the correct height brackets from Home Depot basically doubling my cost. Also, the safety cable provided are too short to be useful for a stretch spring overhead door.

The old hardware got all rusted and bent up but the door panels were still good, so I ordered this kit and replaced the old hardware and my garage door worked as good as new! If you see your garage door hardware beginning to fail, I recommend getting this to replace the failing parts before it falls apart on you while you're using it.
