Choosing a replacement battery is basically a crap-shoot. Ratings like mine are initially published based upon out of the box performance, not long term durability. The battery is shipped with tools that aid in the installation. The case spreader is particularly useful and appreciated. I have replaced the battery and hard drive before, so opening the laptop case was no mystery. There are wonderfully helpful "how-to" videos online to guide the novice.I discharged the battery and charged it up quickly. It seems to be running normally. The HP battery diagnostic gave it a clean bill of health. The real test will be how the battery is doing after a year / eighteen months. The last one (different vendor) failed in less than two years, I hope this one lasts.

This is the 3rd time that I actually bought this product when my laptop battery died and its last pretty long for how long I been abusing it. (All college semester plug in) Which I know isn’t the best to maintain the battery life but it last a long time. What’s different this time is that there was a very helpful mini guide that help explains how to preserve your battery life and useful tips and tricks to use. It’s also included some screwdrivers and a plastic pluck to help with the installation. Good Product all around.

I purchased this exact battery for my son's HP laptop about 8 weeks ago. The battery life was better than the original battery from HP. I used my son's laptop for several weeks and was impressed with the performance, so I ordered a second battery for my laptop. So far, the second battery in my laptop is just as good. Anyone looking for a reasonably priced laptop battery should consider this battery.

instructions included were a bit vague, but a little help from YouTube and I had the laptop dis-assembled, battery replaced, and was up and running in less than 20 min. Great product for the price.

It was easy to install the new battery once I got the laptop case open. Initial charge time was under two hours (I didn't time it from start to stop). It's almost 24 hours later and the battery still has a 50% charge, though the laptop has been mostly on standby with the battery saver turned off. Very happy with the freedom of not needing to be plugged in.

Product arrived quickly. Computer disassembly was quick. Battery fit perfectly. Reassembled in a snap. Computer booted right up with a 70% charge and is working without being plugged in (OEM battery failed). Happy to get work done without being tied to an outlet.

Replaced ageing battery in HP laptop - difficult to compare performance, but looks good. 4-star ease of installation is due to HP engineering not considering repair when designing laptop. Battery is not perfect fit - connector pins not fully inserted, but seems to work OK.
