Prentice Hall Writing and Grammar: Grammar Exercise Workbook, Grade 9 Paperback – January 1, 2007

This workbook arrived as described (perfect and brand new)! Very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this seller! I will definitely be purchasing from in the future! Book is great and very to the point! Great choice for homeschooling!

I bought this book along with the Grade 8. Although the common core standards are in full effect, if you really read the standards, some of the same concepts (or all depending on the grade) are required to be taught (just with different outcomes). I love to teach grammar within a specific context, such as a writing project, but to often students do not make connections until the topic is directly taught. This is a great resource to have. Each exercise has a short description of the function of each part of speech, phrase, or clause.

While it is my fault for not doing better research, I wish there had been some neon directions letting me know there are 3 workbooks that go with this textbook. I only got one of three. That's my only complaint, and like I said, that's my fault. The lessons so far they like ( even though we started the middle, not beginning).

Book has a lot of work pages. It sure does keep him busy for the summer, I hope he is ready for 10th grade.
