Midwest Meter Approved: ROOTX Cleared Our Roots, 9/10
We had stubborn roots clogging our sewer line from the house to the street (YOU CAN SEE THEM IN THE PICTURE!) — a real headache! ROOTX came highly recommended, and it didn’t disappoint. The foaming action really gets deep into the pipes and kills those roots without any digging or major hassle. It took a couple treatments and some patience, but once those roots were gone, our water flowed freely again — no backups or funky smells. The applicator funnel made it easy to use, and it saved us a big plumbing bill. If you’re dealing with root problems in your sewer or septic system, ROOTX is a reliable, straightforward fix that’s worth every penny.

Best insurance against main line root clogs
Using ROOTX once each year is a great preventative measure against root growth clogging your main sewer line connection. I had stopped using it a few years ago, had a clog that required a plumbing service to clean out the line, and they said “use ROOTX each year and we won’t have to come see you for a long time”.

Keeps the plumber away.
Several years ago I had a mainline rooted out. The plumber recommended this. I use it every Summer around July. It is easy, just shake to combine, pour and follow it with 10 gal. of water from a couple buckets. Go do something and let the foaming mixture do it's thing. I have not needed the plumber to come back yet. Which is good since I learned the main is in the middle of the street and it also is the home owner's responsibility, ownership does not stop at the curb.

Great Root Prevention.
My plumber told me about ROOTX after a drain clean out. I use ROOTX once a year on a two inch inside diameter terra cotta kitchen drain line. The line is decades old, and roots will get in through the joints. I had lots of trouble from roots in the nearly ninety year old drain line, which needed a mechanical clean out ever couple of years or so. Then my plumber suggested that I use ROOTX, he was right. Its been years since I had any problems with that drain. Quick, and easy to use, ROOTX is my go to for maintaining my drains. You might think its pricey, but at only one third of what it takes to get the plumber out, ROOTX is a bargain. The only thing is you must use ROOTX, before the drain becomes clogged. If clogged, you'll need to get the plumber out to clean the drain before you treat with ROOTX. Just use ROOTX once a year, and you should never have a root clogged drain again. It works.

Works great on roots!
I've purchased this a few times in the past, ever since we had to call Roto Rooter to our house for drains barely draining. They discovered roots, along with lots of hair. This is the product they suggested we get and use atleast once every 6 months to keep the roots at bay. As far as I can tell, it's doing the job. It's really easy to use and you want to pick a time where nobody will be home for hours to do it. Some people do it at night when people are sleeping. The key is to leave it in the drain for as long as possible, so you don't want to be flushing toilets or it's not going to do what it's supposed too.

An application trick
I have used this product yearly for six years, and have had no problems with roots clogging my sewer line-- I have not had to hire someone to clean out my line (knock on wood), which is very expensive. I discovered a neat trick for application. I fill my bathtub with 10 gallons of water, then pour the RootX into the cleanout plug in the basement and screw the cap back on. Then, I drain the bathtub. No mess!

Plumber Recommended the Product
My sister's plumber recommended that she use this product. She states that it sure is cheaper than having the plumber come out to her house.

Didn’t do anything and eventually had to get DynoRod out to clear the roots. I wouldn’t waste your money, way more expensive than it should be.

Brilliant product that should be available in Australia without import overhead costs. Nanny "state" in AU prefers trees to undermine your property at no expense to them.
