JETech Screen Protector for iPad Pro 12.9-Inch (2015/2017 Model, 1st/2nd Generation), Tempered Glass Film

I should have purchased one of these sooner. It often is the case that an impact will break a glass screen cover, but won't translate through to breaking the actual screen. If I had purchased one of these a while ago, my iPad would have been better protected form breakage and scratches.I bought this item because my son commandeered my iPad years ago. It was still in pristine condition because I kept it in a tough case through the years. I more recently switched to a case without a cover over the screen. I figured the fat surround would protect the screen, but it finally was dropped off a kitchen counter and cracked the entire screen. The iPad is still useable, but it was developing small enough cracks that tiny piece of glass were breaking off.So, that's why I bought this screen protector. It sits over the broken glass of my iPad screen and provides a smooth glass surface free of small falling shards of glass. My kid won't cut his fingers and he has learned to tune out the cracks in the glass.Oh, and installation was VERY easy. It took me maybe 5 minutes. Just follow the instructions exactly. Don't wing it. You really need to set up the hinge stickers correctly to get the alignment perfect. And you want to get the glass on your iPad screen spotless so it adheres all the way across without bumps where a piece of dust has fallen in. If you do that right, it adheres all the way across without bubbles like magic. It's very satisfying.

When installed properly, this is a perfect fit for the ipad 12.9 pro 2nd generation. To get a bubble/lint free installation, here are a few tips. Try to find the cleanest lint free room/place as possible (no fan/hvac running). Make sure you clean the ipad with the included microfiber cloth or use a lint-free microfiber towel and buff to remove all fingerprint/residue. Use the included stickers or your own tape to remove any/all left over lint. Follow the instructions to use the stickers to make the hinge/template to aid when installing. However, you will want to use your own tape to make sure the the hinge stickers will stick. I had trouble with the stickers coming undone when first trying to install. When removing the protective film and placing the screen protector onto the ipad, don't worry about the air bubbles, be more concerned on the proper fit and no lint underneath. If the screen protector didn't go on straight or there is lint underneath, you can still lift the screen protector and try again. You may have the use a piece of paper to get under the screen protector and make sure when lifting off not to touch the bottom part with your fingers. Once you place the screen protector on to your liking, and there is no lint underneath then you can start addressing the air bubbles. Use the included paper squeegee to get rid of the air bubbles starting from the middle of the screen, and moving to the outside edges. You will need to use a lot of pressure for some spots, and also using a microfiber towel to rub/buff areas works as well. Just make sure you are giving even pressure and not in one spot and you won't damage the ipad. Remember this is the screen protector, so even if you scratch this, it will be okay. I've installed this on two different ipads and both have had a perfect installation with no air bubbles, no lint, and no damage.

I am impressed with the overall quality of this product. Even its packaging was first-rate, reminding me of the same packaging (and color scheme) of my Logitech CREATE iPad keyboard case. The glass was easy to install, and included all of the "tools" needed, such as the cleaning cloth and alignment stickers. There is a blue "sticker" that is included to remove dust from the screen after cleaning it with the included wet pad. It was so sticky that it left a some gluey substance behind on the screen that I had to re-wipe with the damp cloth to remove. I decided just to use the (included) dry screen-cleaning cloth and my breath to remove the last bits of dust.After a couple of tries (I am very particular about everything being aligned), the glass adhered with no bubbles. I am glad that I was able to remove it and re-apply with no problems. It looks great, and I notice no differences in touch response after installation. The iPad button, however, is now somewhat recessed, as the glass is now around its circumference. This will take some getting used to with regard to feel, but it still reads my fingerprint and button presses consistently and accurately. While the glass adds a slight amount of weight to the iPad, it is not noticeable, as the 12.9" iPad is already heavy (particularly with the keyboard case installed). The iPad still fit into my case just fine after the installation of the glass.I wish I had purchased this screen protector when I first bought the iPad, as my original glass has a couple of light scratches after regular use that this would have surely prevented. I am very pleased with this purchase, and found the price to be reasonable.

This screen protector is amazing, feels great, looks crystal clear, no bubbles which is nice. Easy application, it has a nice stickiness when you place it on your iPad. Best Buy for the price.. you will be so happy with this.

Just received the screen protector today and installed it on my first gen iPad Pro 12.9. Size fit perfect. Installation kit has everything you need but it would have been better if it came with a template to help with the placement of it onto the iPad screen since the screen is so big. The sticker hinges helped but it wasn’t that great. After installation and due to air bubbles that couldn’t be moved, I had to lift up the protector twice and reinstall it. Not sure if I would buy again.
