Very Small in size but does it job well....

The Blu Ray player is basic and reliable. It’s a no-frills product. As advertised, it plays all DVDs and Blu ray discs from any region… as long as the disc is not damaged. It is a very tiny piece of equipment. Does the job.

Though a bit costlier than normal Bluray players, this one has been modded to play all region DVDs out of the box, and to select a colour button on the remote for Bluray region selection (while the tray is open, before closing the tray to play).

I would like to return this product because it does not support some video formats and is smaller than expected for the price.

I bought this product because my collection of blu-rays has a lot of region A and region B locked discs. I was happy to see that this player plays everything fine. The cost of the player in India is nearly twice what someone pays in the US, but we don't have another option if we need a region-free BD player. For blu-rays you have to manually change regions by pressing the correct color button on the remote before inserting the disc, for DVD's it is automatically region-free. This is a very basic player and has no display apart from one small light for the power. Functionally it seems identical to the S1200 I had before this (the remote is the same), and it seems a little slower to load discs than that one. Otherwise no complaints. This model doesn't have wi-fi (S3700 has wi-fi), but I felt it better since I wanted to avoid any automatic firmware updates that break the region-free capability.

It is a small DVD player, smaller than any of the normal DVD platers. I have been using it for over two months. So far it has worked perfectly with my TV and home theater system. The picture quality and sound are certainly better than the normal DVD players or even those claiming upscaling to blu ray in general. I paid INR 25 k for the product which I think is a little expensive though considering the rather limited options for connectivity. Fayz Electronics, the seller has written to me recently, enquiring about my reaction to the product.
