This is great for protecting your job from scratching whilst enabling it to function effectively. I wish I’d bought it when the job was brand new. Washing it is ok; good does get stuck in the ‘mesh’ but is easily washed out in the sink.

Bought this product because I got a scratch on my new induction hob even though I was very careful when using my new pans on it. I can cook with the cover on so my hob never gets scratched now. Just a wipe clean after use. I was so pleased I bought another cover to put over my hob as a protector when not in use. The original I keep with my pans & use it solely for when I’m cooking.

Yes, an induction cooker will work with this protector on the hob. It does a great job at stopping scratching and looks good.The protector has not stained, torn or burnt in regular use.I advise that you cut the protector to reveal the hob controls. The lights on the hob display can be seen through the protector. However hob locations are not visible and have to be estimated. This is not really a big problem.The only downside for me is that I am a messy cook and some food always spills out of my pan. The protector mesh retains the big bits. Everything else goes through the mesh and under the protector. Therefore a bit of a pain to clean up. As it’s a big mat I usually end up washing it down under the shower. Cleans up great. I just wish it was a solid mat so I could wipe it off in one go. Clear silicone would be even better but nothing like that looks to be available at the moment.Get it and enjoy. But, be a very tidy cook.

Far to expensive but needed

The protector is striated and porous. Any splashes or fluid just go through it into the hob. As it’s under the mat during cooking it crusts underneath. Rather than protect the hob I’m now having to clean both the mat and the hob everyday. Before I just wiped the hob down daily. This has doubled the work.

Does the job to protect the induction cooker for far from ideal for routine use and it is not easy to clean with the mesh design

Very happy with this to help protect my new induction hob, was worried it might spoil the appearance of the hob, but it blends in nicely. Easy to clean.
