TreeWorks Chimes Percussion Effect (TREcoil)

TreeWorks nails things with the TREcoil. The design is simple, allowing me to easily mount on a cymbal stand, accessible inches away from my snare drum. The clamp/mount is classy (wood, black metal) and compact compared to the gargantuan clamp/mounts from LP, Gibraltar, etc. The simple triangle beater and beater mount are nice but not mandatory as the coil and bell both sound great when played with drum sticks. Of course, the most visually compelling thing about the TREcoil is the spring but it's also sounds amazing, proving a really cool ambient/experimental sound.As a standard rock drummer playing 2-3 shows a month I've always wanted to expand into percussion but didn't want to lug around extra stands, have been underwhelmed with clunky, eye-sore clamps and have not been into what the major percussion guys put out in terms of selection. The TREcoil is compact, looks great and sounds awesome.The only feedback I would have is that TreeWorks might want to consider an adjustable mount to allow you to adjust where you could mount the bar on a stand. Also, it would be awesome to see more "out-there", experimental percussion instruments from Treeworks along the lines of the coil to allow drummers/percussionists to play more mental sounds.

Not the best chime I've heard, kind of a thin sound, but it's a neat setup.
