This is a really bright bike light, and is by far the brightest that I have owned. I have spent upward of $500 on a bike lights that that are dim in comparison with this light. At the lowest setting, this light is more than adequate to light the trail ahead.The only complaint that I have is with the quality of battery used to build the battery packs. According to Magicshine's web site the battery packs used six of the 18650 batteries. To achieve the rated 7.8AH they are using 2600mAh batteries. If they would use better batteries, such as the Panasonic 18650B which are rated at 3400mAh, the battery pack would be rated at 10.2AH. This small improvement would increase the battery life by approximately 30%.

This light acts as more of a 'spotlight' than some of the other high lumen bike lights I have used. For example this light: 'Ugoe NB13-01 Ultra Powerful 3000', which is more of a diffuse lighting, (distributes the light more evenly around you) casts brighter light in a greater area around you, but does not shine as far as the MJ-908. I prefer the more diffuse lighting, since I use the bright lights on off-road mountain bike night rides. The MJ-908 is more suited for street riding.This light is brighter than many car headlights and even in the low setting will blind other people if you are on a path and pass them head on. The digital display showing how much time you have left is great (when it was working accurately). However...The remote is extremely cheep and stopped working after a few weeks. A neat feature, but didn't bother me when it stopped working. After around 9 months, the battery started draining much quicker when it wasn't in use, including when I would unplug it from the light. Then 1 ride in light rain fried the entire light. I would expect a light that costs $200+ to be at least water resistant, but alas this one is not.Unless my particular light was defective in this way and was to be replaced by the seller, I would never by from them again nor would I recommend for my cycling colleagues. Go with the model light I mentioned above, much better value for what you are getting.

When I received the package from Amazon, I opened the box, and I was greeted with a black case with a zipper. That is pretty fancy for expensive lights. I tested the front light outside my driveway, and it was so bright, that I almost got blinded. (I was holding battery connected to front light in my other hand). The remote works good too, but you have to press a little hard to get the remote to work to get the front light to show off the 5 functions.I could not test the rear light, because I could not find the 3 way adapter inside the case, and the rubber bands to connect both lights and remote. I did look everywhere, and I removed the foam in the custom case, but either it was missing, or I need to purchase them separate, or someone forgot to put them in the box. So I am still keeping the lights, and I am sure the rear light works, but I have no way of testing it yet. Since this is made in USA, I am confident that they have good service to help me.

Initially baffled by the instructions under the OPERATION HEADING, I gave up and installed the light and tried varies sequences of buttonpushing until the lights came on. The instructions must have been directly translated from Urdu or Chinese? The second time I used the light,it went out after 30 minutes of riding, leaving me 10 miles from home on an overcast night and on a road without any illumination. I never used thebrightest setting after that and had approximately 20 rides with good light. Then, the WX turned colder and before starting out, I could not switchon either light. Brought bike and battery into kitchen, waited 20 minutes and the light again operated as advertised. The connections fit so tightlythat they are near impossible to open with cold hands and with out two seta of pliers. This company needs some hands on engineering. The lightis very bright and the concept is valid, but, somehow, they are a generation or two behind the progress of the electrical state in their equipment. Maybe they could see how Miele devises instructions to install their superlative home appliances -- all without any text at all. The wiring should include a port specifically designated for the charger, thus eliminating the need to disconnect anything before charging. Nice if they had a telnror address for technical support -- and why the hell not?

Just tried this light out, it is brighter than any I have ever tried. I posted 2 pictures the brighter one is this light, the darker is Night Eyes-Brightest 1200 Lumens. I ride MTB with the bright eyes and a Light & Motion Imjin 800 Light on my helmet. I could go reasonably fast with that set up. Seeing the difference this light makes, I can’t wait to go on a night ride now. It fits fine on my bike Specialized Enduro XL, no complaints so far.

I love this light. It is bright like the Feds raiding your house in the middle of the night.

This light is mega bright! Customer service is also top notch! Only reason they did not get 5 stars is the rubber band mount used to mount the light on the handle bars. Please fix this near perfect light with a solid mount.
