Can the rechargable Lithium battery in the headset be replaced if need be?

Not easily, you'd have to crack it open and likely void your warranty if you needed to replace the battery yourself.

This headset is designed for the PC and would not work properly if it were used with the Wii U.

Will it still function while being plugged in to charge?

The cable is not very long (27,5 inches, 70 centimeters) so unless you have a PC tower that it´s near, you won´t be able to use it, but the battery last so long, I don´t think you will need it. Just charged when you have had a long playing time. I charged if I have played 8 hours straight, just in case.

Do these feel nice on someone with a particularly larger head?

I have a larger head I have to extend all of my headsets out to the max these are pretty good, they do put a little pressure on you but I think that's mostly because mine are only a week old but after a while I forget I have them on
