Quick replacement of faulty device that stopped working!
03/13/2022 - Updated reviewThe product was within the warranty. I reached out to the company and let them know about my issue. They were very prompt in replying and sent me a replacement that arrived in 2 days. The new USB hub is working fine. I am hence updating my review and my comments03/08/2022 - Earlier ReviewI used this USB hub every day for about 10 months. It worked well and then it stopped working. The issue is that it is not getting power through the USB connection. This is maybe due to the chord that provides power from the laptop to the USB hub. If i twist the chord, it works for a second and when i let go it stops again. I am disappointed.

Convenient and Functional USB Hub
This 7-port USB 3.0 splitter is a lifesaver for managing multiple devices on my laptop. The individual on/off switches with lights are super convenient, letting me control each port independently without unplugging devices. It provides fast data transfer speeds and handles multiple connections smoothly. Overall, it’s a great addition for anyone needing extra USB ports!

Good, but didn't last as long as I expected. Like the on/off switch for each outlet.
Worked well for about 2 years, but data speed didn't seem quite up to par. 3rd year data declined in speed and stability; but no loss. 4th year data very slow and intermittent and totally failed to work. Found USB main female input socket was physically broken. So is likely fragile design.

Adequate hub, but not "powered"
When doing a search on Amazon for a "powered USB 3.0 hub", this product appears. I purchased it and I should have been more thorough in both my reading comprehension and my decision-making. The device IS NOT POWERED by anything other than a USB cable connecting the hub to a computer USB port. Do the math, 7 Data Ports and no external power, only equals limited functionality of the device. Making matters worse, there is a mini-port where a power source can plug into, but there is absolutely no information on what Amps, Volts, or Watts are needed to power the thing. Attaching this to the wrong transformer could cause serious problems. I had the device attached to a transformer from an old Belkin 6 port hub, and the 7 port hub worked OK, even with a powered external hard drive attached. But without knowing if the Amps, Volts, or Watts generated by the Belkin transformer are a match for the needs of the 7 port hub, this device might cause issues down the road. I am not crazy about losing information, internal computer damage, or in the extreme, an electrical fire. In addition, I am wary as to why power information was not made available, especially as it is usually found on most electrical devices. The logical thing to do was return this device for one with power and from another vendor, - I did just that.

Better than an internal mulit-port card
I am using this for data only. I don't believe it would work too well as a charging device with 7cellphones hooked-up, unless power comes from a non-computer source (which is provided-for with this splitter)Today's PCs just don't have adequate USB ports. I could have added an internal PC card with only 4 ports, but this splitter made more economic sense; plus I have better control with the splitter. In my case, I have 2 laser printers, a vinyl cutter, a digital microscope, and a small sound amplifier all simultaneously connected. I turn them on and off as needed and the LEDs are a real plus; and so far no problems. Many of these splitters come from a plant in Singapore, and I have been in that plant, so I can attest to the quality, at least in that instance.gac

Do NOT buy! Plug is cheaply soldered
The media could not be loaded. So I bought this awhile ago- opened it about a week ago. Worked fine. Today I go to plug my phone into it and notice no lights. Now I’m confused - nobody else uses my computer or lives with me. I look up reviews and sure enough if I press on the power connector (usb) the strip lights up. Product is poorly welded. Just sitting on my desk with nobody fiddling with it - it is dead.

Great for switching off peripherals.
Great for switching off my headset so I can hear alerts on the computer without wearing the headset all day. I need to know when emails and other notices arrive, and if the headset is connected, I can't hear them. With this, I just switch it off after a call, and hang up the headset. Computer sounds come through the speakers, and I can hear them. It's a bit annoying that it has two USB cords to plug in, but I understand that is for powered USB devices. I don't happen to need that at this time, so it would be nice if I could unplug that second cord from the hub, but it's hardwired. Not a big deal, though.
