Dogtra1900S Rechargeable Dog Training Collar - 3/4 Mile Range - Waterproof - Adjustable Levels for Dogs

Got it for my Siberian Husky who’s been pretty rebellious in not listening at the park off leash and would run off with other dogs/people for too extensive periods of time. This e collar worked like a charm first time used and he got responsive pretty quickly to the Page buzzing function associating it with the shock. Now I can call him while paging and he will come back without issue/lingering too long like he would before. It definitely seems to have good range too. Happy with the purchase, heavily recommend for aloof/rebellious type dogs that get overly curious in crossing people’s/dogs’ spatial boundaries.

I have a shepherd husky mix who is great off leash but becomes a maniac on leash. It is so embarrassing and frustrating. I tried all the training tricks. I decided on an e-collar when it became an impairment to our lives. Especially since I walk her tandem with my other husky shepherd. I purchased 2 other collars, including the $200petsafe 900 trainer, and neither worked. I would have them on the highest setting and no response. I was surprised since I have the petsafe invisible fence and it works great. I did a ton of research on Dogtra. I purchased the 1in prongs as well. This is a must with long haired dogs. The Dogtra e-collar is seriously amazing and effective. I was overjoyed. She is already becoming a different dog. I have not had to go over 33 (it goes to 127). That is remarkable given how seriously insane she gets (like Taz the cartoon). I pair the collar with positive reinforcement - treats and praise. The system is also easy to use and comes in a high quality carrying case. The remote works every time. It is easy to tell on and off. The three options are perfect for getting attention. I am so grateful to find something that works. She is not at all upset by it. It honestly makes her life better because we all enjoy walks. When she gets a nick or zap, she ignores the other dog and starts sniffing something else. She is not hurt or scared. This is worth every penny if you and your dog are suffering from leash aggression. Don't waste your time with other brands. If you have a big, fluffy, boisterous dog, this is the system for you! I am so relieved.

Purchased the former model of the collar on here in 2013. I’ve had to buy replacement batteries for the receiver and the remote twice in that time but otherwise my 2013 unit still works great. Decided that having a second large dog I would need another so bought the newer model. The newer one is still a great product with no loss in quality. If anything, it may be made even a little better. I’ve attached several pics of my old one and my new one. The new unit has a slightly longer collar strap. The signals do not interfere with each other. Only complaint is that although they are very very close looking, the chargers are not interchangeable with the two collars.

Amazing collar, does exactly what it should in building trust and lowering my dog’s anxiety. It is essential that anyone ordering one of these spend time learning the proper way to use, but once dialed in, I have seen nothing but positive results in every area, from calming excessive barking to consistent recall and relaxed walking on leash.

Worked great for 3 months then just stopped working. Tried all the troubleshooting methods I could find online and still doesn't work. I will update if I get it fixed but extremely disappointed for the price, and the brand.

I have always been hesitant to use an ecollar due to bad people using them improperly. But with proper training for both you and your beloved dog, this can be the best tool you can have. My dog has so much freedom off leash. Her reactivity has reduced due to not being held back. Her recall is spot on now and I only use the stimulation when I don't hear her coming. She readily lets me put it on her, but still runs from her harness (which is her seat belt for car rides). I can confidently take her to off leash locations! We can go days without charging, even if we use it more frequently, like over the weekends. I put duct tape at the point when it fits her best, so putting it on her is quick and easy. And I trimmed the excess. It is waterproof, but please take it off to let the fur dry under it. The training videos on the main website for the product are great, too.
