My old, cheap, curly iron broke after a decade or so. I recently bought another cheap one and found myself with the worst curly iron. So I decided to spend a bit more I hopes to get something that would hopefully be better than my decade old one.This curly iron was amazing! I love the long barrel and that you can easily slide your hair along the barrel. It heats up fairly quickly and does not have a weird or odd smell to it. One minor complaint is that I wish the clap was slightly longer. Since I do have longer hair, just having a cm more, would have made such a difference in better securing my hair within the clap. My second complaint is that the stand can sometimes get in the way as you’re using it. This can be annoying when it happens, but I’m not sure how they could make this better. But with these two issues, it is close to a perfect curly iron to me. If it’s helpful to note, my hair type is 2c. So I do have some natural curls, and it may be why I hold the curl better than someone with straight hair. (Sorry my picture came out blurry)

Upgraded to this curling iron from my Hot Tools after my stylist used it on me. The long barrel is a game changer for long hair. I’ve had my Babyliss dryer and flat iron for years and this is the same great quality. I don’t experience the issue others were having with the design and accidentally burning themselves. I do sometimes hit the temperature buttons while curling but it doesn’t happen often enough to bother me. The long swivel cord is fantastic.

Absolutely wonderful, makes beautiful curls that hold well. Heats up very fast, I usually use on second lowest setting because that is sufficient for my stick straight Asian hair to get curled with this device (plus heat protectant, hair oil, and hairspray)

Love the extended barrel, excellent for curling larger sections and longer hair. My two issues are the plastic end of the barrel is hard and smooth, it slips because you can’t get a firm grip, and gets very hot. My chi iron doesn’t do that, it has a soft rubber end great for gripping, and it’s fully heat resistant. Second. The cord is a bit too short, wish it was 6 inches longer to have room all around the client’s chair, rather than having to turn the chair to accommodate the length. Other than those two issues, it’s an excellent iron and works extremely well!

Figured what my hair liked from the least levels. Created a good smooth curl that lasts.

I bought the extended titanium 1" barrell in early 2022. I have long, but thinner, hair, and this iron doesn't curl it very well. On the first setting, it won't dry out my hair as much as the higher settings, but it also doesn't provide a lasting curl (and bangs look frayed). Setting two or higher results in fly-away static - it robs every bit of moisture from my thin hair. It seems to have reduced the body, changed the overall texture over time - the only thing that counteracts the loss of moisture, body, and texture are to use mousses and the like. That makes it very hard to keep clean. It's heavy and unwieldy so I've burnt myself many times in the year I have used it. I am switching back to a 100% ceramic curling iron, and I'll leave this one to the professionals working on a client and/or non-professionals that can keep their hands raised above their heads with ease. I can't do it for long.
