The weight capacity for the top is 50 lbs, and the shelf is 50 lbs.

Q: How do I get the lower shelf in place? 3 corners of it are attached to the legs.

All straps on all different wood finishes are black, it may appear blue due to the lighting and/or the photography.

No, not the same. This luggage stand is taller by about 6 inches. It is very sturdy and a nice addition to my guest room!
