Q: I have recessed can fixtures with BR-40 floods installed. Will this tool allow me to grab this large of a bulb?

I have only used the changer on BR-30 on my 24 foot ceiling. I do have some RB-40's in a box and the changer fits over the bulb without any problem. I get the changer over one side of the bulb and then work it across the face and it snaps over the bulb. This thing is a lifesaver on 24 foot ceilings. Also get the socket extractor in case the glass twists out of the socket. This can happen when turning with your hand.

Q: Will the basket-type device grip tight enough to remove a bulb that was screwed in too tightly? A suction cup only spun on the bulb.

The basket does not work on our lights. And the suction cup does not hold the bulbs well and new ones will fall and break, even with the Teflon non-stick lubricant applied.

Q: Does this work on the Mr. LongArm Pole?

From the looks of it, it should work fine. Their is threads inside the bulb changer.
