First things first I want to just address that the scissors will be a bit oily when you get them, I didn't realize this and got some oil on my hands which I didn't expect but that is not a problem, rather, it shows some care in putting the product together in my opinion.Other than the oil, the heft of these scissors is immaculate. I've never had such a good pair of tailor's scissors where you can feel the weight so well just by holding it. The weight makes it so much easier to cut through fabrics, making it just glide across anything. Of course, the grip only goes to help with that, it is coated in a nice rubber material, making it so so much easier to hold and use. As someone who gets sore hands easily, this is something I appreciate greatly as it makes them far more comfortable for long-term use. While I haven't really used the accessories it came with, they do seem nice quality, and the fact it came with an extra measuring tape is nice, as I often lose or misplace them. I really think this is a good bang for your buck, even if you just want the scissors, they will definitely help you if you don't have a good pair already.

I like.. handy for clipping, snipping and getting in close to trim such as upholstery etc

These are beautiful sturdy lovely scissors is a little bit of oil at the tip I smooth it down on my fingers I presume that was just standard and I will wipe it off with a cloth before I cut anything of value I was I'm just so impressed with them the little tiny scissors that came with it all of the seam rippers I forgot but I got like three different seam rippers in there and a really good decent quality handle for the razor sharpers for cutting I had gotten one and it had a plastic insert holder and this one has metal so I'm very impressed with that as well and measuring tape is of good quality I'm overall incredibly impressed with these scissors and I cannot wait to use them on leather and fabric they're such high quality I feel like they're going to cut anything I want them to cut that I would use as clothing. Very comfortable great appearance box is very nice as well I will be keeping these scissors in the box when not in use so that they are not accidentally used on anything cuz I have more than 10 pairs of scissors in my house I can never find them when I need them but they're all to varying degrees quite dull and used these are exquisites the shared Joy I get and just opening and closing them in my hand and the noise that you can hear with the blades sharing against each other is top performance I plan on taking very good care of these so that they last me a very long time and they are very sturdy

These are quality tailor/sewing scissors. They have a precision cut. My advice is if you want to keep them that way, only use them for fabric.

For the price of approximately $11, these scissors are a bargain. Just as the instructions indicate, they do come with a protective coat of oil on the blades. They are boxed in a reusable cardboard storage box with reusable plastic sheaths for the scissors and the thread snippers. They fondly remind me of my long passed grandmother’s old school sewing shears. Like Grandma’s shears, I can see these lasting for many years if cared for properly.I was eager to use them, so I cut through some scrap cotton fabric to simultaneously clean and test them. Two layers of fabric were cut through with ease. Four layers was also easy. So I tried cutting eight layers into thin strips (junky scissors will just balk and catch and twist the fabric up in the blades). The result was thin strips requiring just a slight amount of hand strength. But, inasmuch as I’m usually not cutting through eight layers at once, I’m happy with the amount of strength required.Then I tried cutting some precise turns in fabric, including part of a circle. The scissors were easier to maneuver than I’d expected for their size.The only con is that they are slightly heavy, and slightly bulky for my hand (I have small hands). But, they are well balanced and I can still easily use them. IMO, to get the same quality of cutting ability in a lighter scissor will require spending two or three times as much.The metal (not cheap plastic) thread snippers are a great addition. Even the measuring tape is a thoughtful add in.

Had these fir a few months now, cuts into cotton fabric like butter! Leather is cut with no problem! Not getting any other scissors but these!
