I've just returned from a long distance walk along The Cleveland Way, using a mix of campsites and wild camping in this tent.Overall, I was very impressed with the quality and design of the cloud-up 1, it packs small and is very lightweight - but has ample room inside for 1 person, (including space for your backpack). The materials all feel premium, both fabrics and details like the pegs and tensioning buckles etc. are all top-notch. All the seams and stitching are perfect. There are lots of nice touches like; rope loops on the pegs to make them easy to pull out again, a well designed vent that can be opened or closed, inner pockets and spare pegs and guy lines.It's an excellent added extra having the 'footprint' mat included (which can either be used under the inner tent, or used alone with the flysheet)The vestibule is perfect for a bit of cooking and to store your muddy boots, it's quick to pitch and has enough room to sit up inside.Overall a great tent for spring to Autumn use, I didn't use it any high winds, but there are 3 guy lines that can be attached if you do, it's very waterproof, pitches in about 5 minutes, can be pitched fly or inner first.A few tiny quibbles; it would be nice to have a 2 way zip on the outer door, the hanger inside for a torch is too far back inside the tent and it would be great to have the option to attach guy lines higher up on the sides of the tent to pull the sides out - but these are really nit-picking!Overall, a perfect one person lightweight tent and excellent value for money

The media could not be loaded. I bought this tent to use while hiking the west highland way in Scotland. It was so light which was one of my main reasons for purchasing. I’m not a particularly experienced camper but it was so easy to pitch. Would literally take just a few minutes put up (even one day when I practically shuffled around on my knees because I was exhausted and my feet hurt so much). Had a few heavy downpours but the tent held up great and ventilation was spot on so no issues with condensation. The netting kept out the mosquitos too! I’m 5”7 and fit with my 65L backpack with plenty of wiggle room. I especially liked that I could sit up comfortably as a lot of one man tents I looked at beforehand seem to be too low to do so. Most importantly I feel like this tent is good quality and will last plenty of trips even with the wind and rain. Would 100% recommend!!

Arrived at my campsite as an emergency replacement on a backpacking trip in devon. Very simple set up but you have to set the inner tent before you can add the flysheet which could be problematic in the rain.. Excellent headroom inside. Generous porch space enabled me to keep my dirty boots outside and dry. Was also able to cook within the porch in horrible weather as very well ventilated.

Bought this tent last year and have used it on 5 camping trips so far, about 12 nights in total, in the Lake District, Scottish Highlands, and in Snowdonia, sometimes in the rain or fairly strong winds. Very easy to set up and being able to put the rain cover before the inner tent is a great perk to have. Comes with its own ground sheet which is very good. The bottom of the inner tent seems to be waterproof as well. Packs small and is light weight as advertised. Pretty spacious for a one person tent. Comes with 12 pegs, though you only need 9 to set up the tent, so a few extra in case you lose some.The first couple nights out I recall having some condensation but that was solved by not clipping the sides of the inner tent to the rain cover, leaving some space between the two. Haven't had any more condensation since.I had a night with very strong gusts of wind which were bending the frame quite a lot, so I secured it with the extra ropes. Don't think anything would've happened regardless, but it was better not having to worry about the frame bending so much.Overall I'd struggle to find any negatives, especially at this price point. Hopefully it'll last me a while, so far so good. Recommended!

Great little tent. Well made. Tidy stitching. Good quality for the Definitely not a 2 person. Good for one man plus a dog and kit. Poles very sturdy. Set up easy. Good for warmer, drier and less windy conditions but definitely not for high winds and prolonged rain as the 10D fly is very thin.At £180 I was happy with the price.

I bought two of these tents for myself and my son. They were totally fine for some summer expeditions in Lochaber and Knoydart areas. For a one person tent, a very decent size with tolerable headroom. It's also quick and easy to set up.However ... I took my tent on the Cape Wrath Trail and things didn't go well. The first rough weather night I was in quite a sheltered spot on the River Carnach. The winds were still pretty strong and eventually the spine broke at the 3 way socket which links the poles. A bit of jerry-rigging and it survived the night. However a few nights later at the campsite in Shiel Bridge another stormy night blew in and it was an awful experience. I had to wrap my head torch strap round my wrist, attach it to the ceiling hook and sleep on my side. When the tent got blown over, it'd pull my arm with it, waking me up. I'd then hold the pole in place till the gust subsided a bit. At some point during the long night, the damaged pole escaped its hole and tore through the flysheet.The moral of the story ... in Scotland this is a 2 season tent at best.It's worth saying that the waterproofing was excellent. Despite torrential rain and even the flysheet getting ripped, the inside of the tent stayed completely dry. Perhaps there's some design enhancement which could take it up a season but for use in the highlands and likely mountainous parts elsewhere in the UK its best thought of as a late spring to late summer tent.Lastly, there don't seem to be spares available on Amazon so I can't get a replacement flysheet or pole setup.
