Beautiful to see. But breaks easily

Came in a well wrapped Styrofoam package in a box. The pieces are well designed and the board is gorgeous. I bought this as a gift to my fiance and I'm sure she will love it as much as I do! Not good for traveling as the package is large and Styrofoam falls apart easy. But that's an extremely minor detail. Well done.

Pices are cheaply made and break way to easy

It is a fantastic product and I love the look and craftsmanship of the pieces and glass board. The only dislike is the pieces should be a bit heavier so they are not as likely to fall over. Also it will take a few times of playing to match the pieces in your mind. It’s confusing at first.

Looks great but I don’t recommend buying for any other reason but as a display set. Way too fragile to for the price. I was happy to receive it and set up the pieces. After that I’ve had 3 heads break off simply from tipping over. Not even significant fall….just tippin over on the table smh. Don’t waist your money unless you don’t mind gluing pieces back together.

If it were only to look at, it would be great. However, we have played exactly two games and one of the bishops tipped over and broke in half. The Roman knights are top heavy and fall over constantly. Not thrilled, especially for the price 🙁

Now this is a very unique chess set. All the pieces are finely crafted with every detail corresponding to the culture they represent. Also the glass checkerboard is nice enough and just the right size for the size of the pieces. This same chess set Is available with the pieces already painted in detailed colors, but I think the contrast of gold and silver gave it a more classier look. Perfect for not just actual playing but as a nice display.
