The throw I received was great - the perfect color, texture, size, etc. One problem - it smelled horrible and needed to be washed. The instructions said to 'hand wash'. Not being one to wash anything other than my hands, by hand, I tossed my new throw into a mesh bag specifically for throws, and proceeded to confidently throw my throw into the washer. Cold water, gentle cycle - because that's what one does with a 'hand wash' item. Fast forward to removing my throw from the dryer, in spite of the instructions saying to 'line dry': My throw came out beautifully, soft and oh-so-importantly - odor free! One new problem - the tassels were a mass of knots! Imagine your toddler emerging from a long winter's nap with a mass of curly tangles. Yes - that's just what it was like. But I was able to spend a lovely evening watching movies and mindlessly removing those tangles. My tool was the low-tech yet effective mechanical pencil, with lead withdrawn. Heaven forbid I would face getting lead on my new, soft, odor-free throw and have to again wash it! Or even worse, Hand Wash it! Slowly but surely the tangles released and all is well; soft, beautiful, tangle-free!My advice is to Not wash in your washing machine - just as the instructions state. Believe them!My throw will be forever tucked into a plastic bag, protected from ever getting dirty, lest I'm faced with the task of Hand Washing.

This throw is super soft and nice and big. I love the fringe. This will stay on the couch for looks and to cuddle up in on chilly nights. Very pleased, would definitely recommend!

I decided to wash it anyway in cold gentle cycle, and dry on extra low, and it got all tangled up and the threads through the blanket start cinching up and I had to stretch them out again. Never bought chenille before so, NOW, I know. I still love it , it is a light blush, but it is sad that it isn't machine washable.

This is very soft, color is nice, its warm, size is as stated, folds well, functional. Tassels are the usual tangled up mess if you choose to dry it via dryer.

I want everyone to feel the perfect softness of this blanket! Seriously, so soft!Update:I can not 100 percent stand behind this product as it damages so easily. I really enjoy the weight and the softness but it does not last longer than a week with no holes in it

This blanket seems like a good deal but there’s a reason why it’s so cheap. From the minute I took it out of the packaging, it dropped lint all over my house that took days to be rid of. Upon first washing it, the tassels completely knotted together beyond fixing and the lint problem became worse. Don’t waste your money.
