God is awesome and amazing!
Update: So I still love Coffig and my review below is still accurate. I do want to add though that two unexpected things have happened with my Coffig drinking. 1. My tongue gets this dark deposit from the grounds on it which bothers me. I use a miswak as a tongue scraper and that helps. 2. It really stains your teeth - I feel almost worse than real coffee - even with milk in it. So again I have been using a miswak and also rinsing and/or brushing once done drinking. The problem for me though is that I don’t just drink my coffee in one sitting. I keep it in my Yojirushi (best thermos EVER) which keeps it hot for like 10 hours and I sip it throughout the day. Just something to consider if having pearly whites is important to you. It may take more effort on your part to minimize staining. So at the beginning of this year I started a fast (diet change) which includes giving up coffee. The Holy Ghost had told me like a year ago that I needed to give up coffee but just the thought of doing that filled me with dread. I LOVED COFFEE. I was so addicted to it at one point it was all I drank and my doctor had to get me down from six cups to two. I couldn’t imagine giving up coffee for good. But this is why the Bible tells us “be not wise in thine own eyes.” After giving up coffee on January 1, in March I started asking God about an alternative. I suggested chicory and He said no. I then looked at Mudwater and He said no then He directed me to Coffig. I was very doubtful about this even though figs are mentioned throughout the Bible. I bought the gold and the original - and I tried the original first. I thought it’s ok…but I wasn’t crazy about the fig taste. It wasn’t overpowering but it had a sweetness that I wouldn’t have had in my coffee. Then I tried the gold…and I really enjoyed it. I was thinking, well what do I do with the original because I really like the gold better…then I found my literal sweet spot. I was a dark roast drinker - the stronger the coffee the better - so I make a “dark roast” Coffig. I use two TABLEspoons of the gold and one TEAspoon of the original with 22 ounces of water and voila! Once again I am in love. It’s so delicious and satisfying. It tastes very similar to a good cup of coffee and has the same coffee feel in your mouth. It also mixes well with creamer. I am converted and even if God gave me leave to go back to coffee my answer would be no thanks. I thank God for His infinite wisdom and for Coffig. It’s just as satisfying as coffee but so much more healthy. I would advise anyone to try it. Also, I use a double strainer French press for mine - which works great (but is more work than hitting the button to turn on a coffee maker). Still I believe it’s totally worth all the time and effort. Enjoy!

Very similar coffee taste
I am a huge coffee lover and drank it every day for 20 years. The bolder the flavor, the more I liked it. I had to suddenly stop when coffee when it started causing me brain fog and stomach issues. I now struggle with coffee cravings so bad that I ordered this to help get me through. I learned quickly that you don’t need much to brew a pot with this product. It can get really strong, in a rich flavor kind of way, so I brew a few tablespoons to keep it a lighter flavor. Because I’m a coffee super fan, I can tell the difference but the flavor is very similar to coffee. I add a sweet creamer because the raw brew isn’t very tasty to me. This is my second favorite brand because of the richness to the flavor. I toggle between this and the other brand I like. So helpful to satisfy my desperate love of coffee and I’m glad I found it. I’ve tried many and this is one of the few that actually tastes similar to coffee.

Good Tasting
I was not disappointed with the taste. But I am not crazy about the residue and whatever appears like coffee grounds.

Best coffee replacement I have found so far
Wow. Where did this one come from?I have been looking for a good coffee alternative for a long time since I quit coffee 4 months ago, and this is the one I like best.I have tried mushroom, cacao, hickory root, and dandelion based coffee alternatives, including products that mix these basic building blocks. Although I found some good products, these tend to be expensive and the flavor always bordered on the satisfying to me but never quite sealed the deal. I would say this 'Coffig' is my favorite in terms of taste. But also at $13 for a pack that makes 75 cups (you only need a teaspoonful per cup), Coffig blows the others out of the water. This is now my coffee replacement of choice.

Bummer! :(
I had high hopes for this just like I've had for every other "coffee" alternative I've ever tried and I've come to the conclusion it is impossible to duplicate coffee with any other ingredient except coffee beans! I've tried every single alternative option available in the usa. I do appreciate that the color came out darker than the others I've tried... I got super excited when I saw that. However my excitement got squashed the moment I tasted it.... It tastes absolutely nothing like coffee. Nothing. Sadly. And I have wasted $17!Is it possible to be refunded?

Great alternative.
My husband and I was very impressed with the flavor of the coffee alternative, it has a bit of a sweet taste and taste great. I would never have thought those ingredients would taste like a coffee flavor but was very pleased. Also it’s great if you want to avoid the acid Side effect that coffee gives like acid reflux and heartburn, those symptoms is why my husband and I decided to try this product out and we were not disappointed. I got a French Press to make mine in. Sometimes I like to freeze some in ice trays to make iced coffee or put the cubes in the blender with what ever kind of milk you enjoy, I like to use coconut and almond milk, I add chocolate powder a frozen banana and protein peanut butter power for a great pre workout drink, it’s taste amazing.

Tasyes Like Coffee
This is the first alternative coffee that actually tastes like coffee. Expensive for sure, but worth it when you can’t have real coffee. I brew it in my single side coffee maker using about 1 Tablespoon. Love it.
