Seagate Exos X16 12TB 7200 RPM 512e/4Kn SATA 6Gb/s 256MB Cache 3.5-Inch Enterprise HDD (ST12000NM001G)

I did a bunch of research and knew the drive I wanted was the Seagate ST12000NM001G, my only concern was purchasing and getting an OEM version without the 5 year warranty. Based on other reviews of drives purchased from the vendor ServerPartDeals, I took a gamble and made the purchase.Not only did I get a pristine 12TB drive with a valid 5 year warranty, but I got it fast and for a great price. I'll definitely be ordering more of these drives, but only from ServerPartDeals!

My 1817 diskstation was running low on space so I upgraded the drives to these. A week later after replacing my old drives, I finally got to 62tb. These drives are great.

Drive caused an A2 message on my ROG Asus board, vintage 2020. Would not boot with drive connected. Then tested to make sure inbn a second pc, a 2021 high end Dell that is working perfect. The Dell also would not boot with it connected.Drive also made a weird seeking noise initially.Probably got damaged in shipping , buncoed around, etc. Not willing to risk it twice,. Got a Seagate Iron Wolf Pro at microcenter which worked fine on first try.

The first thing I checked was the warranty - 5 years. Woot! What else is there to say about having 12TiB of space? Drives are awesome, end of story.

New drive with 0 hours! And a full 5 years warranty and great price. Very satisfied.

It did what I needed it to do. Seagate hdd's have always been good drives.I will definitly buy again

This is a review for the seller and the warranty on this drive.The drive I purchased from Amazon Warehouse Deal is not covered under Seagate's warranty. I contacted Seagate and what they said is this drive was originally purchased OEM as part of a large buy for a corporate deal of some kind. This drive was then picked up by Amazon Warehouse Deal and sold as "new" on Amazon. Because this drive has had an owner in between my purchase and Seagate's original sale of the drive, Seagate cannot honor the warranty. If buying, check with Seagate about the serial number after purchasing and ask if they will honor the warranty. If it was part of a corporate deal like mine was, then it will not be honored. Your best bet is to return it.It also came in unpadded packaging and was dropped on my front porch. That's the worst part of it all. I wouldn't have contacted Seagate if it had been in original packaging with padding. See the photo for how it was shipped.All in all, after this experience, I would not buy hard drives from Amazon Warehouse Deal.
