These are exactly the same as I remember. They used to come in a box. Yes, they were "dry" and fairly "firm" back in the day. The flavor was very subtle and "kinda" sweet. I had last seen them in Reno, Nevada, back in the early, early 90's. Quite a find back then. Now I find them on Amazon and they are exactly the same as the ones I had back 25 to 50 years ago. They are special. Apparently not for everyone's taste. Try the box size portion to see if they are your thing. I get them 5 pounds at a time. This is halcyon candy from an age gone by. So glad I can go back and visit now.

I should not have ordered so many, I cant put them down. Jujubes have always been a favorite, but so hard to find. I wish I had thought of Amazon a longtime ago. They arrived fresh and chewy. I did take the time to parcel them out in smaller bags. Now if I could just limit myself to one portion a day! (Side bar - do I look younger? cuz' I'm feeling like a kid!)

I used to get a box of these every time we went to the movies when I was a child, and they are exactly the way I remember them. These were always fairly hard and tiny, and we used to put like 10 of them in our mouths and spend a lot of time softening them up and eventually chewing them and getting them stuck to our teeth! Those 10 lasted a long time, and then we would "rinse and repeat" ^^ I have heard some say they have a scent like perfume...and it is true....it comes from the violet flavored ones. If you are expecting soft gummy candy, this is not it....but if you loved Jujubes as a child....these are the real deal!

These are my husband's favorite. Can't go wrong with the big bag! They're actually fresh, he keeps them in a sealed container to enjoy over a couple weeks.

i know i already told you the problem with this product, they are tiny little hard candies, very hard on the teeth and nothing like a good jujube should be, much bigger like the size of the end of your index finger and much softer, much easier to eat, i have never seen little jujubes the size of a skittle and no flavor to boot, i am very disappointed with this product and would like to know if i can return or exchange for something else, I hope you consider my feelings concerning this product, thank you, Mark Carter

As a longtime lover of Jujubes that has been heartbroken over and over again by how hard it can be to find them, I will be heartbroken once more if this seller either goes out of business, or changes the product. I've ordered them twice now, and both times they have not disappointed. These are either the authentic Heide Jujubes, or close enough that I can't tell the difference. Appropriately chewy, incredibly tasty, and no strange aftertaste (that I've experienced with some other "Jujubes" suppliers)If you love Jujubes, and can't find them instore for a reasonable price like me, I would highly recommend these over any of the other listings for Jujubes on this or any other online store.

I loved Jujubes as a kid. These don't seem to be quite as good as I remember, but awfully close. The negative reviews on here are ridiculous. Jujubes aren't overly sweet and they are small and hard. If that's not your thing then move on. They are not Dots. My experience in talking to others is that you either love Jujubes or you hate them - there really is no candy to compare to them. So if you love Jujubes then buy these, if not, stay away and save us from the stupid review.

Always ate these as a kid. Now ice to know I can still have them. Thanks Amazon
