The best. My old one lasted four years before a set of brand name replacement batteries leaked and corroded the contacts. Well worth the cost and did a great job! Reusable bags and held vacuum until I would release it. For some reason I decided to replace the Meyers unit with the identical Reynolds branded model which arrived DOA. The new Reynolds unit arrived with totally corroded batteries which damaged the battery compartment. The NEW Reynolds unit looked identical to my four year old model! It looked like it was sitting in storage for years which, upon further review of the Reynolds model, was the complaint of many Reynolds purchasers. One reviewer claimed he bought something like 60 Reynolds units from six suppliers and they were all corroded just as I described. There were so many such complaints that you have to wonder about OLD inventory or a defective battery supplier. If the latter, you would think that Reynolds would have recalled the inventory to prevent it being dumped on consumers. There were just too many complaints over a long period of time.I printed out my UPS return label at Amazon and simultaneously ordered the Debbie Meyers model which arrived in perfect condition two days later. That's why I buy most EVERYTHING from Amazon. (And own their stock!)While I have, for years, considered ordering a Foodsaver, I could never justify the inconvenience reviewers regularly complain about (including use of counter space, excessive use of plastic, jams, etc.). For the budget conscious it is just a no brainer. With this handheld model, it sits in a drawer and it remains readily available. Plus it works. The bags hold their seal, it it easy to find the sweet spot to vacuum the bags (it might take two tries- 3 seconds work), the bags are reusable and the zip lock system works fine. Just remember like all other vacuum products, some bags ar made for refrigerator storage and others for freezer storage. I have stored vacuum sealed meats for over a year without loss of vacuum nor quality. Meyers also has invented specialized bags for produce, deli meats, etc. which I have not tried.In view of the fact that all six of my name brand batteries leaked (they were replaced probably five times over four years) I just wonder whether it is possible to cause them to leak if you place the vacuums heavy power draw on them when they are low on power. The batteries that failed were from the same batch as the last change. Maybe Meyers has a suggestion in this regard. (Don't confuse this with the Reynolds model which arrived NEW with corroded, off-brand batteries. I don't think, however, it was the battery brand because most manufacturers of electronics use off brands which may not last as long. I have to believe it was old inventory or improperly stored inventory which is more consistent with the leakage and corrosion).

Bags seem to rip easily as I cannot get them to seal after a couple of uses.

Needs to be better and bags more affordable!;

Purchased this so I could compress my toiletries for flying/traveling. Worked great and my liquids didn't leak at all when I flew last month. It is hard to find the correct place to suction out the air, but once you do it gets all the air out. Love that it comes with batteries and a few bags so you can use it right away. Did buy more gallon bags since the quart ones don't hold much. Also very hard to clean after using them, but have to since the bags are expensive so don't want to use and throw away.

I used it with the Debbie Meyers bags and after fiddling with the positioning on the seal port positioning, it pumped all the air out of the bags and collapsed it around the contents just like the bigger machines. The bags have held up well in the freezer for the last two weeks.

Love this,I have the Food Saver with all the bells and whistles, which can be a bit cumbersome since I have a small counter top in my Apt, so I bought this and it is great, I especially like the fact the bags are of GREAT quality and reusable. I use this far more than the Foodsaver that I have because it is more portable and the bags works really well compared to the other brand.

Just received my sealer. I haven't used it yet but upon opening package I was surprised it had 6 batteries inserted. (Most products usually say "batteries not included". However one of the batteries was eroded. Not sure if this will affect the operations of the machine. Will update post after I try the product.
