Yes, but please keep in mind that one side of the magnet is adhesive. Also the magnetic strength is very weak, which I guess would be ideal for your particular purpose. At either rate, I hope this information helps. Good luck!

Not likely. This hardly holds up laminated paper on a white board.

Definitely NOT. This so-called roll-n-cut is unwieldy and incredibly weak; it won't even hold a sheet of computer paper to the fridge. You'd be better off with a neodyne round magnet or something in that like. This stuff is more like the light-weight magnet you find in the craft section for turning your photos into fridge magnets.

Q: Will this adhesive take the finish off wood when applied and removed?

Hi Ralph, Depends on the finish. Polyurethane is quite durable and should be fine, other stains and varnishes may not fare as well.
