Best wireless mouse at its price
First of all, yes, the battery life, to some users can be abysmal. I am using 4 rechargeable min, 930 mAh AAA batteries, 2 at a time. So, I always have batteries ready. The LED of the mouse wheel flashes at a regular interval when the batteries are running low. When it starts to flash every 5 minutes, it is time to change the battery. Once I got used to this changing battery rhythm, I don't think about it too much. I also found out the reason for batteries being drained so quickly. This mouse has two methods to connect to PC wireless, Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz. We all know that wireless connection via Bluetooth has lagged. In the old days, all wireless mouses were connected via Bluetooth and hence I avoided them until now. This mouse when connected via 2.4 GHz, there is no noticeable lag at all. But because of the polling method, it will inevitably use up a lot of power, hence draining the batteries fairly quickly. But at £35, with great response, fitting the palm comfortably, this mouse worth at least 4.5 stars, if not 5.

Fit for purpose.
A perfect wireless mouse. It feels good, looks good and was easy to pair with my laptop. I have not found that it eats batteries. Much better than one with a wire.

It's a good mouse. Software lets its down among other things.
For the price, this is actually a really good mouse. Nice sensor and good accuracy from what I can tell. Subtle RGB on the scroll wheel, which I initially thought I didn't like but have warmed to.Dual 2.4GHz and Bluetooth is great - but I find the 2.4GHz dongle likes to drop out sometimes when I reboot or power on my computer and needs to be unplugged and then plugged back in to work again. No idea why but it can be a little annoying going under my desk at 6am to unplug / plug in the dongle.Steelseries GG is terrible, and they have removed hardware RGB control from the Engine portion of it so you have to use Prism, which is software only. It has the capability to save the settings to the device but they removed it. To get this back you need to go find the last version of the standalone Steelseries Engine they released. Don't bother with GG.My main gripe is that in 2024 they have designed it to work with disposable 1.5V alkaline batteries only. It senses the nominally 'low' voltage of my 1.2V Ni-MH Eneloops and declares they are dead long before they actually are, then shuts off and refuses to stay powered on for long before turning off again. That was disappointing. When you use it with regular alkalines though the battery life seems acceptable but not perfect. I like that you can use one or two AAA's for weight savings and I like that the battery is not a non-replaceable lithium cell that is buried in the mouse.Overall, it's good, but is let down by the 2.4GHz dongle, Steelseries GG and the requirement of using standard alkalines (or the more expensive NiZn or Li-ion AAA's which need specialised chargers).

Absolute garbage.
Unimpressive performance with the worst battery life I've ever seen in a mouse. I have bought mice half the price of these where the battery life was huge, I'm talking months and months. I bought this on the strength of they're other products (Mainly the headphone range - which I'm still a fan of). Sadly I can't say the same for this mouse. If I'm lucky I get 2-3 days worth of life out of my batteries MAX. I made a point of spending even more money on high powered Duracell rechargeable batteries designed for heavy draining items to try and combat this issue, and it made NO difference whatsoever. So I'm forever having to charge 3 pairs of AAA batteries to keep this stupid POS in power for around a week.On top of this the scroll mouse has developed a rather annoying squeak and feels like it's on it's way out already... I'm sorry but I'm going back to the £16.99 mouse I had before.Steelseries you need to sort this kinda crap out, your headphones might be good but this shambles of a mouse just boils my piss... I'll be launching it at a wall in the near future once it's replacement arrives.

My colleague is extremely happy with it.
Bought for a colleague! He is more than happy with the quality, it's comfort and size. He is not using for gaming, he is using it for his business and school requirements.

Comfortable & nice to use. Horrendous Battery Life & Annoying back button
This is a really nice mouse to use for gaming and general computer usage. Can connect via bluetooth or via the dongle. It has a really annoying back button on the left side so if you are on a webpage filling out information it is VERY easy to accidently click it and lose all of your progress. Super annoying. Also they claim 400 hour battery life which I have not been getting anywhere near... Im changing batteries once every 3-4 weeks (we're talking duracell too...) and my rechargable batteries are lucky to last 2-3 days. Probably something to do with the inbuilt LED lights that flash constantly. Disappointed over all. Ive had much cheaper mice where the battery lasts ages.
