Sigma 18-250mm f3.5-6.3 DC MACRO HSM for Pentax Digital SLR Cameras

Awasom Lense! Bought this Lense for my Nikon D5000 and it worked right out of the box. I have used it for over a month now and it's just super ! The image quality is sharp throughout the range, AF is fast and optical stabilization is effective. Also the build quality is commendable too. Bear in mind that this is not a Prime lense however quite frankly it's the best 3rd party budget lens for travel photography in the market. Just go for the yr 2012 model no 883306. Must buy for family & holiday photographer. I M non profession photographer. Just need for carrying single lens for my traveling and family events.it is the best one for my purpose.

I've used this lens for over a year now, and its great. For an amateur, the pictures it clicks are fantastic (since I'm not a pro, I cannot comment on pros). Distortions are barely noticeable even at extremes, and pictures are more than acceptably sharp. The lens a small amount of creep (if you point it downward it will extend on its own, though this can be retracted simply by pointing it up again) but it isnt enough to bother me. The zoom is wonderful, as is the f3.5 aperture (though that is not at all settings). I've clicked some of the best pictures of my life with this lens. I've been using it on a Canon Rebel T2i body. The zoom and focus rings are quite firm and smooth, and the lens itself feels solid and well built. A year later, there are no shakes and rattles.I've attached a few samples taken recently, at various zoom levels

The images turn out quite good. It gives a tough competition to my nikon 35mm 1.8G lens at 35mm shootouts. At 250mm the image is a bit soft but better than expected. Autofocus is fast but sometimes inaccurate. Just get it guys. Some of you may be confused about the model of this lens as it happened to myself initially. It's the 2012 model with 62mm filter size.

Build quality of this lens is superb. Feels heavy. Picture quality is good. It is a good substitute for 18- 55 and 55-250 mm lens. Those who are amateur photographers and prefer less clutter during travel and at the same time want nice pictures, can consider this lens.

Under 30k it's the best 18-250mm lens.Pros:-Looks beautiful with matte finish-very smooth while zoom and focus-has zoom lock at 18mm-has AF-M button for auto and manual focus-has OS on/off button for optical image stabilization-can be used for macro photography also-has metal ring for mounting to cameraCons:-weight is around 500g, which is painful to your hand for long time using.-Definitely it requires tripod if it's full zoom.-In full zoom up to 250mm images are not at all sharp.-without optical image stabilization we can't get sharp imagesOverall it's a very good lens under this budget.

Delivery is good, lens arrived before time and very happy about it...But not satisfied with the lens, performance is very poor not at all as per expectations.

OVERALL A GOOD PRODUCT IN A GOOD PRICE...
